Voting is a general term that can be used when we upvote someone's post. But curation means supporting the post after reading it and judging if it is informative or not.

You have also discussed that a curator can earn more than 100 percent of his vote worth as a curation reward. The things which matter are the voting time, vote worth, rank, etc.
