Introduction

I have prepared many assignments in Steemit Crypto academy for the last five months. However, I have to admit that this assignment was one of my favorites. I learned amazing new things. I have been hearing about NFT for a long time. I was reading about this, but I did not know NFT Games. I was amazed that these digital games were active in many areas.
In this assignment, I only had a chance to review My DeFi Pet, but I will check other games from now on. Also, the level of digital art is extraordinary. We will no longer have to see copy-paste artworks. A more original and creative art world awaits us. Of course, this market has its negative aspects, but it has more advantages.
Thanks to this assignment, I became a member of a new market. I will try to be active in the Gate.io market from now on. I would like to thank Professor for handling this issue.

1.) Describe the main Advantages and Disadvantages (Pros and Cons) of NFT Games in your own words about other game modalities.

NFTs are certificates of authenticity. But after purchase, it is powered by blockchain technology, unlike a traditional piece of paper. In this way, NFTs cannot be hacked. An unalterable encryption code also protects them.
The gaming industry is a fast-growing industry that is ready for innovation. It is the most productive sector open to new technologies. NFT takes advantage of all the benefits of technology and offers a new way for players to create and monetize their own experience. When we look at traditional games, we see that all the power is in the game companies. But with NFT, then control passes to the player.
The most significant difference of NFT games from others; to have what no one else has. Players can get unique and extremely limited items with NFT. What does it mean to have a virtual presence? Why is this virtual asset so valuable? Because only you have it. That's why NFT games are so popular. This is another crucial difference from traditional games.
NFT games offer many opportunities for gamers who are well versed in technology. One of the advantages of NFT is generating income. Players earn a significant amount of revenue this way. This is another difference from traditional games.
Nowadays, people get bored of everything very quickly. One day you may get bored of the games you only want to have. The amount you paid for that game could go to waste. This is one of the disadvantages of NFT games. In addition, there are some disadvantages of NFT games. There are; Uncertain regulations, Competitors, Failure to Develop and Security weaknesses.

2.) Name five (5) recognized characters: writers, artists, athletes, or others, who have digitized their works (writings, publications, paintings, drawings, illustrations, etc.) to produce NFT. Please indicate the value of the NFT or the collection, show photos or images and cite sources.

NFT content producers have been increasing in recent days, and these contents have become very popular. People are curious and trying to learn. Most importantly, they want to trust. In this market, fraud is almost impossible as digital buyers and sellers are identified and all transactions are securely tracked. I know that if I buy content, I will also have 'digital rights'. This brings with it many advantages. The copy-paste culture is disappearing in the digital art world. NFT artists now realize how much their talent can cost.

Now let's examine 5 of the essential names in the NFT market:

1. BEEPLE

Christie is an artist founded in 1766 and organizes 350 auctions in 80 different categories each year. This digital artist bought Beeple's NFT for $69 million. This news had a bomb effect on the market and everyone started talking about NFT.
Beeple, also known as Mike Winklemann, is currently the third most valuable artist alive after selling an NFT collage for a record-breaking $69 million. The historic sale through Christie's sparked a fierce interest in NFTs and the broader cryptocurrencies.

2. BLAKE KATHRYN

Another NFT artist is Blake Kathryn. Blake Kathryn, who considers herself a "3D artist with a surreal futuristic aesthetic", recently collaborated with Paris Hilton to support crypto artists. She also breathes new life into crypto art with multidimensional creations spanning a wide variety of themes and industries. Kathryn also supports profiles of lesser-known creators.
When I looked at her work on his social media accounts, I could not take my eyes off. She has many different and exciting pieces. Kathryn's innovative creations are featured in the work of famous names and brands such as Jimmy Choo, Fendi and many more. Thanks to NFTs, Kathryn is now one of the leading digital artists in illustration, iconography and branding.

3. GIANT SWAN

Painter and sculptor Giant Swan is another artist who was introduced to NFT technology. Although it is not enough to say the only artist anymore, it is correct to say, digital artist. Swan is an artist focused on integrating 3D sculpture to create digital worlds through repeated layering and depth experiments. Swan, who also works on TV series projects, has recently exhibited her work in Miami and Shanghai.
Swan's contribution to the art of NFT is substantial. It introduced itself to the digital world with its unique use of images, videos and print media. Swan is at the forefront of the crypto art revolution today.

4. TREVOR JONES

When I first looked at the website, I was very excited by Trevor Jones' work. He has different pieces compared to other artists. Performing fascinating work spanning a broad spectrum of the arts, Jones has worked as the Artistic Director of Healthcare, providing art workshops for people with disabilities.
Trevor also makes significant contributions to cutting-edge inventions. Augmented reality is one of them. Animation, video production, and NFC tags use, and Pablo Picasso's style are seen in his most famous digital works. Inspired by Pablo is felt in many of his works. He reintegrated Pablo's style, especially in cryptocurrency symbols and other related iconography and contemporary logos.

5. FEWoCIOUS

Another emerging NFT artist is FEWoCIOUS. This person, who produces different content in NFT art under this pseudonym, is an American teenager. After moving to a new school, this young man, whose life conditions became difficult, seems to have overcome these difficulties with his NFT art. We can see the reflections of his life in his work.
The art of FEWoCIOUS reflects memories, caricatures of daily events and the imagination of an ordinary high school student. This young man, who thought he would fail, started to get excited when his works attracted attention. FEWoCIOUS sold an artwork titled "Moment I Fell in Love" for $25,000. This amount is priceless for a high school student.

To answer this question, I chose the game MyDefiPet. I have enjoyed the website and I will give you information about this game. I read their “White Paper,” and I will analyze what I have learned.
What is the history of MyDefiPet? According to White Paper: “"My DeFi Pet" is the initiative for our vision of a mass-adoption blockchain game. The name encompasses the three characteristics of the game: “Pet” raising game, “DeFi” features integrated, and “My” personalization.”

"My DeFi Pet" covers collecting, breeding, evolving, fighting and trading/socializing pets for pets. The game consists of chapters and these chapters are called seasons.
Now let's talk about MyDeFiPet team members. Their Chief Executive Officer is Tri Pham and he is also co-founder of this platform. Liem Thai is the game creator. The other seven guys work for the game developer. There are no women, and it is not good.

There are two main ways to get a pet.

• Summon: You can obtain a random egg by consuming a certain amount of DPET tokens.
• Auction: A new pet spawns every hour and bidding (with DPET tokens) takes 24 hours. After the bidding period, any unclaimed pets will remain on the Altar for later purposes.

Combining any two pets will create a new pet that inherits its parents' genes. Each pet has certain evolution levels and abilities, depending on its rarity. Players contribute DPET tokens to level up their pets.

How is the game played?

The first season will start with 100,000 USDT rewards. The DPED team will maintain this amount. The amount can be claimed by finding NFTs with the full specification specified in the contract and then submitting them to claim the reward.

In addition to all this, an auction market is implemented to facilitate trade. Activities between players are organized. These activities are supported in all major web browsers.
MyDeFiPet's secure utility icon is DPET. This token is a representation of the functions specified in the MyDeFiPet protocol. DPET can only work on this platform and this coin is the main currency of this game. It will upgrade and trade Pets and their unique attributes, especially in the initial phase. The DPET token is used as a decentralized medium of exchange between participants in MyDeFiPet. This token is non-refundable.
"My DeFi Pet" runs on the blockchain system. This game's team consists of traditional game developers and a blockchain team. All DPET and NFT tokens are tradable on the existing and cross-blockchain, primarily Binance Smart Chain and KardiaChain. The game's plans include making its games available to any significant blockchain community such as Ethereum and Polkadot using KardiaChain.

As outlined in the White Paper, there are many risks associated with using the DPET token to join My DeFi Pet. Among these risks;

• Uncertain Regulations and Enforcement Actions
• Inadequate disclosure of information
• Competitors
• Loss of Talent
• Failure to Develop
• Security Weaknesses

Last but not least, I want to show some financial numbers for MyDeFiPet game. The market Capitalization of this game is $27,235,147. As we know, Market capitalization of the crypto asset is calculated by multiplying the current reference price of the crypto asset by the current circulating supply. Also, when I prepared this homework, the MyDeFiPet price was $3.96.

4.) Show the complete process to acquire the tokens (it does not necessarily have to be the game selected in the previous question, as long as it is within the supplied list). I wrote the name of this token on the CoinMarketCap website to see which exchanges My DeFi Pet is on. You can see the exchanges with My DeFi Pet in the chart below. ZT comes first in terms of volume (volume: ** $98,757,182), but this exchange is said to be unreliable. In second place is pancakeswap with a volume of $2,244,195. I will use Gate.io to answer this question in detail. It is easy for me to use this exchange.

First, I signed up for gate.io. For this, I followed the steps below in order.

Then I filled in the necessary information on the first screen that opened.

On the second page, it asked for the fund password. After entering the fund password, I pressed the "create a membership" button.

I received a notification that my registration was successful. I activated it via e-mail.

After activating via e-mail, the following screen opens.

I clicked on the yellow part. I wrote the required information to login on the screen below and my gate.io session was successfully opened.

After logging in, I wrote the code that came to my e-mail in the section below.

From the Markets section, I clicked on the “Market price” section. Also, I searched for DPET in the search section and two options appeared. These are DPET_USDT and DPET_ETH.

Conclusion

After this assignment, I learned new things about NFT Games. I realized in which areas they are more active and why they are so popular. Why is it popular? Because people want original and more creative content. Perhaps traditional art will leave its place in digital art. Or they will continue on the same path together. Although NFT games have their disadvantages, these games will inevitably develop further in the future.
The new generation does an excellent job on the computer and they are very good at producing content. The most significant example of this is FEWoCIOUS. This kid, an American high school student, is now making thousands of dollars. Thanks to NFT games, we can see the greatness of a person's dreams at this age. NFT Games help people unlock their potential. This is awesome.
Digital art is a revolution in itself. Think about it, the clips of many sound artists are similar to each other. Most of the time, I get bored watching these clips. However, managing content that includes digital art is a very different experience. An artist who finds it difficult to sell a work of art at an exhibition can become famous, thanks to NFT. Exploring is where NFT is most ambitious. Thanks to this assignment, I decided to invest in NFT games with gate.io, which I am a member of. After doing some more research, I will make my first purchase. Maybe later, I will become a content producer and my works will be discovered in the digital art world.
