Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S9W2 - All About The Tron Ecosystem

Greetings dear friends,
It is a pleasure to have you all on my blog once again. Still in the second week of the steemit engagement challenge for season 9. Today we are looking at a very important topic that is of benefit to all steemian which we call the "All About The Tron Ecosystem".

It is important to all steemians because we all are now part of this blockchain since we get the TRX reward too. I will be attempting a few questions below as a sign of my entry into this great contest today. Without further ado, let's get started.

TronLink is the official wallet of the Tron blockchain ecosystem which is used to store, send, and receive crypto assets. This wallet is decentralized because it gives the user complete access to his or her asset. The TronLink consists of both the private and the public key and anyone with these keys is the true owner of the assets in the wallet.

It is important to mention here that the TronLink is a web 3.0-based wallet that can be seen in Android, iOS, and even on browsers as retention files. So whichever smart device you are using, you can be able to still have access to TronLink. As an Android user, I have downloaded mine from the google play store and had it installed on my device.

To set up a TronLink wallet, you will have to download the app if you wish to use the app and then you have the option to import or create a wallet. If you already have a wallet, you then import the wallet using your private key but if not you will have to create one and your private and public keys will be generated during that process.

The public key is like your bank account number and that is what you share with others to send funds to you. When you create or import your wallet into the TronLink you will have to create a password to authenticate transactions. This is an additional security feature to ensure the safety of your asset.

Uses of TronLink wallet

• TronLink is used to store TRX which is the native token of the Tron blockchain and other Tron-based tokens used in the Tron blockchain.

• Aside from using it to store TRX tokens, it is also used to send and receive TRX and other Tron-based tokens used in the Tron blockchain.

• The TronLink offers features of stakes to stakers to freeze their token and earn some rewards.

• TronLink also allows Tron holders to vote for super representatives who act as block validators in the Tron ecosystem.

• TronLink gives a gateway for users of it to access other dApps that are built on the Tron ecosystem as they are listed in the TronLink for easy access.

Tronscan

This is one of the important tools of the Tron blockchain as it houses the details of the happening in the Tron blockchain. Here you find details of transactions carried out within the blockchain and every other thing of interest. The Tronscan is the block explorer of the Tron Blockchain.

A few of the activities that can be seen in the Tronscan include managing accounts, exploring transactions, accessing smart contracts, voting, contract deployment, and many more.

Uses of Tronscan

• The Tronscan which is the block explorer of the Tron blockchain has its major use case as checking of all activities going on within the Tron ecosystem. Example transaction details, energy consumption, etc.

• Tronscan can also be used to manage an account that is checking every detail associated with the account such as transaction ID, smart contract, and even the balance of that account

• Just like the TronLink, the Tronscan can be used to view and vote for super representatives who are saddled with the responsibilities of validating blocks within the Tron Blockchain.

There are many dApps present in the TronLink but for the sake of this task today, I will be discussing the ones that I'm most familiar with. Let's look at them below.

While on your TronLink, enter the explore section as seen in the screenshot below and you will see many dApps built on the Tron blockchain. Choose which you want to explore and it will redirect you to a third-party application or website.

JustLend DAO

This is one of the decentralized financial platforms on the Tron blockchain which allows users of the blockchain to earn via a couple of activities with the platform such as staking their TRX token, energy rental, borrowing from the platform with collateral and even supplying their asset as liquidity.

In essence, the platforms perform three basic functions which include supply and borrowing, staking, and lastly energy rental. These means are all means that users can use to earn on the platform.

BitTorrent

Another dApp we can find in the TronLink is the BitTorrent decentralized application. It is a unique dApp that provides a Cross-Chain Service among different blockchains. Aside from that, there is more future that makes it more beautiful especially for Web3 developers and that is it is faster, cost-efficient, and more scalable when compared to other dApps.

To add to the above information, using this dApp, you won't be charged for cross-chain transfer also the process here is fully decentralized meaning you have complete control of your asset, and the time it takes for a transaction to complete is a maximum of 8 mins.

Sun.io

This is another dApp, seen in the TronLink that is used to swap stablecoin, yield farming, and also for the self-governance of the Tron blockchain. The dApp also supports different exchanges with authorized digital currencies as it connects to them when transferring to them.

zkWrapper

When it comes to performing shielded transactions in the Tron blockchain, the dApp recommended for this is zkWrapper. It allows everyone to perform transactions that won't be traced. At the moment zkWrapper is only found in the Android version of the TronLink.

With this, users create shielded accounts locally and that makes the account details untrackable when transactions are carried out.

Verifying your transaction status using Tronscan is quite easy. In this question, I will be sharing a step-by-step procedure to do it so that even newbies can be able to carry out the said task. Let's get started.

I will be using my TronLink on my mobile device to show us this so let's look carefully at it.

Step 1

Open your TronLink application and at the bottom click on Me as seen in the screenshot below

Click on the transaction history option as seen in the screenshot below

Once that has been done, you will see all transaction history (All, sent & received) by default as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 4

Select anyone you wish. In my case, I went to the sent option and selected the topmost transaction as you can see in the image below.

Clicking on it took me to the Tronscan where the details of all the transactions were displayed to me to see as seen in the screenshot below.

To clearly illustrate the details gotten from Tronscan above let's look at the table below.

To initiate a transaction using the TronLink wallet is quite simple and the steps to do that will be presented below. I will be sending a few TRX to my roqqu wallet. So let's get started.

Step 1

Go to your TronLink and then click on the send option as seen below in the screenshot

Step 2

Enter the address of the account you wish to send to and click next as seen in the screenshot below

Step 3

Enter the amount of TRX you will to send and then click on the send option as seen in the screenshot below

Step 4

Confirm the transaction by checking the amount and the address you are sending to and if that is okay by you just click confirm as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 5

Enter your password to confirm you are the person performing the transaction and after that click confirm as seen in the image below.

Step 6

Be sure to see the transaction recorded on the chain as seen in the image below. With this, you will know that the transaction is successful.

If you check the transaction history as we did in the previous question before this one you will then confirm the transaction status. And that is how to initiate transactions on TronLink.

The TronLink is indeed a very powerful application that holds a lot of dApps created in the Tron blockchain. The Tronscan is the Tron blockchain explorer that helps to keep track of all transactions within the Tron ecosystem. I have also clearly stated practical examples of how we can check the verification of the transaction and also how to initiate a transaction using TronLink and Tronscan.
