Transparency, security and accuracy of result are few of the importance of blockchain you have mentioned. Indeed this are important aspect off any technology and that is the reason for its massive adoption.

It is also important to not that despite the pros of this technology, there are a few cons that are limiting its works as stated by tou in this publication, lack of regulation and scalability among others are key factors that are problems to the technology.
