INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone
I deem it a great honor to be part of this week's crypto class and also to participate in the assignment task session. First and foremost, I will like to give many thanks to our professor, @yousafharoonkhan for the wonderful works he has done and also for taking his time to bring out these resourceful lecture notes. The lecture was really interesting going through cause this week's questions actually wants us to bring out how this blockchain really played a major role in the lives of people which I am so glad to partake. To the professor, I say Alhamdulilah for the great work done.

Giving a little introduction about the purpose of this assignment, I will like to go straight to the point by answering the question asked by the professor. To begin with, is by answering the first question below.

Question One: Write the definition of Decentralized and Centralized Social Media Platforms in your own words. Explain in your own words the difference between decentralization and centralization Social Media Platforms (answer should related Social Media Platforms. (answer must be written in own words, copy-paste or from other source copy will be not accepted)

During the previous lecture, the professor has already taken us through a lot about centralized and decentralized systems and exchanges. Much focus is centered on those terms mentioned, which centralized and decentralized.
Here we are not looking at systems or exchanges but rather centralized and decentralized social media platforms.

So giving you a synopsis of these terms, I will say that the word centralized means that a point where there is a control unit heading an organization whiles we can say that the word decentralized simply refers to the case where power is vested in the users or members in the system.

Centralized Social Media Platform I will say that it's a type whereby the is a body that oversees the affairs of the platform. In this case, the user is not given much authority, the rules and regulations are governed by the authority and strict rules are given to the users in the system. Users have very little control or limited control in this type of system. Also, an important factor we cannot skip aside is the fact, in a centralized social media platform, the user has no control over his account and records present within the accounts so which gives liberty to the control unit to alter and change your details at any time they want to and need to. Someof these social medial which are said to be centralized are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. On the other hand;

Decentralized is more or less like the vise versa of centralized, whereas centralized does not give user control, in decentralized social media platforms, the user has full control andfull authority over his account. Here in decentralized social media platforms, the account is not controlled by anyone anywhere, and also nn decisions concerning your account can only be seen but cannot be changed by anyone but you. A clear example of such social media platform is steemit, you can use this blockchain social media platform as an example of a decentralized social media platform to examine all that has been said, also Mastodon is another decentralized social media platform

Differences Between Decentralized and Centralized Social Media Platforms

FactorsCentralizedDecentralized
PrivacyCentralized Social Media platforms do business with user information to generate funds through advertsHere in decentralized social media platform, there isn't any selling of user information
ControlThe central authority has full control on the platformsHere in decentralized, the users own the control, the control is within the users.
Security Penetratio(Hackers)Here in centralized, it's said to be a proneto hackingHere, the security is tight thereby preventing hackers from invading the platform
Ease of useCentralized social media platforms are much easier to use and better user experienceHere in decentralized, the platform is complicated and defficault to use
Third party involvementMostly in centralized, there is third party involvementDecentralized does not tolerate third party involvement.

Question Two: Which One is The Future of Social media? Decentralized or centralized Social media. (answer must be written in own words)

To begin with, I will state emphatically that, decentralized social media platform will be the future, now and then, we see the number of people who are actually signing up on the steemitblockchain, this will tell you that there is a way forward. Also comparing the centralized social media platform, they only make a profit out of you and you gain nothing. But the decentralized kind of pay you back for the time you spend on it and also the data you probably spend on the site. This means that the decentralized social media platform in the future.

Question Three: How steemit decentralization social media is best than Twitter and Facebook. (answer must be written in own words)

Comparing steemit decentralized social media platform to Twitter, steemit is far better-done the Twitter social media platform, although people love Twitter thinking it has valuable information but it just because it came early, now look at the steemit blockchain, all the necessary information you need is provided, various communities gives details to all articles written by users thereby making it available to read and know what actually is happening around the globe. This will tell you that, the steemit social medial platform is better than that of twitter. Also, is said that these centralized platforms make funds from user information which is bad unlike decentralized where that is not possible, another advantage of decentralized platforms over centralizedplatforms.
Looking at the details above, it tells you that, the steemit platform is far far better than that of the twitter socia media platform.

Questuon Four: What do you say? How do Steemit social media change the lives of millions of its users? (answer must be written in own words)

This question is more or less like a person which I am glad to use myself to answer this question. Before I joined steemit, my life was tough on campus, coping with lectures and thinking of how to support myself on campus, giving you divided attention, and not making life easy on campus. Sometimes you could call to asked for tokens to keep you up on campus but when you don't receive them, you can imagine how tough your stay would be. Do you have to work whiles learning in the tertiary?
What a rhetorical question you cannot even answer, thanks so much I joined steemit, infact it hasreally changed my life vividly, from grass to grace. through that, I got myself a better phone which I can use to cope with online courses and also abe to keep myself without calling to ask for tokens from home. I believe not only me but millions of people have got the same experience to share. Thanks to steemit and then to @njaywan and @farhmade for introducing me to the steemit blockchain.

Question Five: How can we make money with Steemit's decentralized social media. (write your own experience)

Making money on the steemit social media platform is not as easy as it seems, sometimes you sit to think of what to write so people could get mesmerized or how creative you could be to attract the attention of the steemcurators. These are questions that need to be answered before you can achieve a quality post to get curated. Also, people with higher steem power can vote for you so you could earn something. But the main deal is the contents you post is what will make you earn, either in the crypto academy, world of football, steemghana, prom-steem, zero-to-infinity, these communities are where you can make a post to get money but it should be quality and good contents.

Question Six: How to create communities on Steemit social media ( practicle step by step ) & Promote your homework post on two social media twitter, and facebook (just share link in the comments area)
