Important Points About Exchange Wallets (Coinbase Wallet)

Coinbase wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet, not a personal wallet, as such it is centralized. That is to say that users don’t have the private keys of the cryptocurrencies stored in the wallet.

See, Coinbase.com is an exchange and hence the storage of the cryptos there is custodial. However, there is also a Coinbase Wallet which is a non-custodial decentralized wallet.

The different between the two has already been explained in the lecture post.

So if you are talking about the Coinbase Wallet app then it is a non-custodial wallet.

Further, "how to back up a wallet" has been covered in Homework Task-2, this task(Homework Task-3) is central to your web 3.0 experience, the difference between Exchange wallet and non-custodial wallet, etc.

After going through the screenshot, I found that the username of your Coinbase wallet is @greatness96. I think we already have another user @greatness96 in Steemit. So is it your own screenshot? Or is it an alternate account? Or is it a coincidence?
