INTRODUCTION
A social media is simply means of interraction or communication between people where they can share text, pictures,videos,audio etc with the aid of the internet.Examples of social media are Facebook,Twitter,Steemit etc.

QUESTION ONE

DECENTRALIZED VS CENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

A Decentralized social media platforms is one in which there is NO central authority that is in charge of the personal data and activities of the users.Here users are only known by their username and are not under the control of any central authority or central owner i.e users cannot be blocked neither can a users contents be deleted by anybody.Example is Steemit.

On the other side of the divide,a Centralized Social media platform is one in which there is a central authority that moderates and controls the activities of users.The central authority can even block,expel or delete a user outrightly without the permission of the user.Also the personal data and contents of the users in a Centralized Social media platforms is in the hands and the central authority.Example is Facebook.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DECENTRALIZED AND CENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

•There is NO central server in Decentralized social media platforms while there exist a central server in Centralized Social media platforms.

•Users of Decentralized social media platforms cannot be blocked or deleted from the platform while Users of Centralized Social media platforms can be blocked at a blink of an eye.

•All users that post original contents in Decentralized Social media platforms earn rewards for their posts(example we earn on Steemit) while only a few or even none earn from posting original contents on Centralized Social media platforms(example I have never earned from my Facebook posts).

•Decentralised social media platforms run on a blockchain as so they are tamper-proof while information or post on Centralized Social media platforms can be tampered.

•Registering on Decentralized social media platforms is easy and requires just a few details while registering on Centralized Social media platforms requires virtually all information about the user and a rigorous process.

•There is no censorship in a Decentralized social media platform while in Centralized Social media platforms the central authority can sell or use your contents or posts or articles to make money via adverts.

•Decentralised social media platforms like Steemit frown at plagiarism while centralized social media platforms do not check for plagiarism.

•In Decentralized social media platforms no one has access to your keys or passwords while in Centralized Social media platforms,the central authorities has possession of your keys and password.

QUESTION TWO

THE FUTURE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Well Centralized Social media platforms are more popular.However as for the future of social media,I will give it to Decentralized Social media platforms.

Why I think that Decentralized social media is the future.👇

•As the population of the world is increasing,there is need for top-notch security in the social media world,and it is only Decentralized social media that guarantees such personal security of users data in the midst of growing insecurity in the world.

•Second reason why I go for Decentralized social media is because it offers users cryptocurrencies as rewards for posting original contents,and guess what?,cryptocurrency is indeed the future of money.Even Elon Musk is transacting with cryptos so decentralised social media will work in hand in hand with decentralized finance and cryptocurrencies.

QUESTION THREE

HOW STEEMIT IS BETTER THAN TWITTER AND FACEBOOK
Steemit is better that Facebook and Twitter in many ways.

Steemit is a transparent social media platform which runs on the steem blockchain.This means that users activities including data and contents are cryptographically secure and are tamper-proof.On Steemit users are free to express those ideas or thoughts via writing contents(most be original)without interference or without being streamlined on what to write by any central body.

More to the point,Steemit users earn rewards(Steem,SBD,Tron) for posting on Steemit, an attribute that has eluded plenty of Facebook and Twitter users.Permit to ask this question in the form of a comic relief 👇

What shall it profit a man to post his ideas and contents without earning from it.

Still on why Steemit is better than Facebook and Twitter;On Steemit one can write an unlimited number of test before posting.However,a tweet on Twitter can only be 280 characters.

HOW STEEMIT CHANGE THE LIFE OF ITS USERS
Steemit can change the life of millions of users in many positive ways.Let me use myself as a case study.

•Before now I cannot write a story or a diary of over 300 words,but since I joined steemit I can even write an article or a story of over 500 words within a short time.(Positive change from Steemit).

•Steemit had made me and millions of others to learn about cryptocurrency including how to buy,store and sell cryptocurrencies with ease.

•The financial lives of millions of steemit users has really improve and has even got better.Some have even left their jobs to focus on Steemit for good.

•The hidden creative minds and abilities of millions of steemit users had been brought to the limelight through the use of steemit.

•App developers have also gotten a fair share of of benefits as they earn rewards and upvotes from developing Applications that serve good purposes on Steemit.

•Infact,people from different works of life have had their financial,social and intellectual lives changed of the better through Steemit.

HOW I CAN MAKE MONEY WITH STEEMIT DECENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA

Her on steemit there are two cardinal ways to make money:first is earning rewards(money) through writing original and quality contents(author rewards) and secondly it through voting what other had written (curation rewards).

I joined steemit in July 2020.There are streams of ways of making money on Steemit.I am using myself a case study.

•I make money Through making and posting my Achievement posts.I have completed my Achievement 1 till Achievement 6 and I made money from the votes on the each of them.

•On Steemit,I have made money through other posts like diary game,City Coordinators report,Contest etc that info on Steemit.

•I have also made money on Steemit through curation (voting).When I vote other people's post,I get money too.

CONCLUSION
The social media platform system has Decentralized and Centralized ones.Decentralised ones offers privacy,security and money to users because it is NOT owned or controlled by anybody while Centralized ones barely offer money,privacy nor security of users because it is under the control of a single authority and has a central server.
