I totally agree with you that if there is a validator who is engaging in activity which is suspicious or malicious or against the rules then definitely validator have to pass through or face through serious consequences which would be all about slashing of his tokens that he is holding in the form of staking at blockchain and the extent of punishment very from person to person.
