Am so glad cryptoacademy is back. Going through the beginners course seems interesting to me so my thanks goes to professor @sapwood for a well giving lecture on steem and tron. After going through the lectures, am here to do the home work that follows it.
TITLE OF HOMEWORK : QUESTION 1
WHAT IS POB? WHAT DOES CURATION MEAN TO YOU IN STEEM BLOCKCHAIN? WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BUILDING YOUR SP? HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN SELF-UPVOTE AS GOOD OR BAD SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR AND WHY? EXPLORE COINMARKET.COM TO INDICATE RANK,STEEMPRICE, AND COIN MARKETCAP OF STEEM( SCREENSHOT REQUIRED) ? WHAT ARW THE DIFFERENT TOKENS DO YOU EARN BY SOCIALIZING ON STEEMBLOCKCHAIN.
A) WHAT IS POB?
POB simply means proof of brain. Proof of brain to me on steemit platform is a reward structure on steemit, this means a content creator is rewarded based on the value of his content.
POB applies to the quality of content, originality and presentation. Example : is the the content free from plagiarism? In the presentation of the content was there the use of markdowns or formatting text? Like headlines etc. Are images properly sourced? What is the quality of image used? How does the post affect steemit blog? All these are termed proof of brain.
Proof of brain entails creativity too. How you are able to think outside the box to produce quality content.
B) WHAT DOES CURATION MEAN TO YOU ON STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?
Curation to me on steem blockchain means the process of upvoting a content that is quality, original or free from plagiarism by clicking on the blue colour arrow key going up usually found at the left side of the post. And down voting a post with plagiarised contents or spam. The dowvote button is also found left side with red as its colour.
Curation involves the process of reading a post first, it moves further to check for how original the content is, its source, then another step is to find out the value of the content adds to once individual life. If the post passes the listed process then an upvote is given to the post .
Curation is one of the ways people earn on steemit platform no wonder users are advised to join communities curation trail. And curation is made possible with the aid of steempower.
No enough steempower no substantial curation reward!
C) WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BUILDING YOUR SP?
Sp means steem power. Before talking about the benefits what exactly is Sp? Steem power is your voting power. Steem power can be gotten when i powerup my steem or when i set my post at 100% powerup.
Benefits of Building Steem power
There numerous benefits of building once steempower and some includes;
The more steem power one has the more voting power he has to curate a content which inturn affects curation rewards gotten back.
The more steem power the more influence one has on steemit platform.
Steem power is also a form of savings done. You dont loose anything when you power up to get steem rather you gain more.
building once steem power is another form the steemit system is sustained.
I wont also forget to say this, building once steem power enables me take part in the crypto academy. I remember i had to power up my steem yesterday just to enable me qualify for the beginners course.
D) HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN SELF-UPVOTE AS A GOOD OR BAD SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR AND WHY?
Self-upvote is not really a good behaviour therefore it is a bad social behaviour. Self upvote is an act of voting ones self after making a post.
why?
Up voting ones self is bad because when a person who made a post that is not original and has no quality,goes ahead to vote itself because he has enough steempower, one of essence of curation is tempered with, which has to do with voting quality post that is free from plagiarism or spam.
Aside the reason above, another reason for which it is a bad behavour is that its breeds room for self fishness. Your voting power is meant to be used to help and encourage other post not yourself. If tolorated on steemit content creators may start to save up steempower just to vote themselves irespective of content.

Step 1 : I clicked on the link given which is www.coinmarketcap.com and it opens up as seen below
Step 2: i clicked on the search icon at the side to search for steem as shown below
Step 3: As it opens up i fill in what i am searching for which is steem

F) WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TOKENS EARNED BY SOCIALIZING ON STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?
Socializing on steem blockchains enalbles me earn tokens such as Steem, Steem Dollar, and Tron. But if my post is set on 100% powerup i would earn Steempower. Another way i could get steem power is when i powerup my Steem.
CONCLUSION
Its been amazing learning about practical things that apply to me on steemit platform such as steem power, POB, curation, and coinmarket.com.
They so very important to us all especially new bies like me.
