¿Por qué Satoshi Nakamoto y la Blockchain han cambiado las Finanzas?
La respuesta corta a esa pregunta es porque necesitaban cambiarse, así de simple. Pero si analizamos cómo ha sucedido todo esto, o sus implicaciones, nos dará una mejor perspectiva sobre el asunto.
Analizar cómo Satoshi Nakamoto (el nombre del creador de Bitcoin) y la blockchain han cambiado las finanzas es bastante amplio e interesante. Por un lado, para empezar, hay que aclarar que Satoshi Nakamoto es un nombre anónimo aún hoy en día, es decir, muchos piensan que se trata de una persona en específico con ese nombre, mientras que otros piensan que se refiere al nombre del equipo de personas que crearon Bitcoin; sea como sea, el caso es que Bitcoin vino a cambiar la vida de la sociedad mundial y las finanzas y y eso es absolutamente innegable.

Es quizás imposible determinar en un corto post, todo el alcance que Satoshi Nakamoto y la blockchain han tenido en la materia financiera mundial; pero intentaré señalas algunas de las cosas que considero más relevantes en tal sentido.
Verá, Satoshi Nakamoto creó nada menos que la primera y más importante criptomoneda a nivel mundial en términos de valor (es decir, BTC), pero cabe destacar que el valor del proyecto y su carácter innovador viene dado también por las características que en sí mismo posee.
Analizado en profundidad, el hecho de crear una criptomoneda o una unidad de la misma, es algo complejo aún hoy en día, los computadores que minan criptomonedas deben resolver complejos problemas matemáticos para producir cualquier unidad de una determinada criptomoneda; pero el hecho de haber sacado un proyecto de semejantes características, por allá en el 2009, cuando nadie podía siquiera concebir una idea así y cuando el mundo solo conocía el dinero fiat, los commodities y las finanzas tradicionales, es algo asombroso si lo vemos en perspectiva.
Satoshi Nakamoto hizo algo asombroso al crear Bitcoin, una criptomoneda libre de los efectos de la inflación, por su característica de tener un suministro limitado (tan solo podrán existir 21 millones de Bitcoin como tope máximo). Únicamente mencionar esa carácterística del BTC puede darnos una idea de lo que Satoshi Nakamoto y la blockchain ha significado para las finanzas, cómo las ha revolucionado, cambiado y mejorado. Porque vale decir que vino a solucionar uno de los mayores problemas característicos del dinero Fiat es decir, el problema de la inflación.

Los bancos centrales a nivel mundial imprimen e imprimen billetes sin límites fijos (y sin ningún tipo de soporte desde el abandono del patrón oro por allá en los años 70) y ello crea inevitablemente inflación, pero con Bitcoin, esto no es así; ya que tanto Bitcoin como las criptomonedas en general, son descentralizadas, no las emite ningún banco central, y su valor depende del libre juego de la oferta y demanda. Parte de su innovación, además, es que BTC fue creado sobre la tecnología blockchain, que ha venido a cambiar las finanzas al ser un libro contable anónimo, pero abierto al público en general que lo quiera consultar a través de Internet.
Entonces la blockchain significa finanzas transparentes, cuentas claras, porque cualquier operación o transacción que se haga con cualquier criptomoneda (sea Bitcoin o sea cual sea), quedará registrada para siempre en ella. Es algo increíble. Satoshi Nakamoto ideó un sistema o moneda que no solo no puede ser afectado por la inflación (como el dinero fiat), sino que también elimina el problema de la corrupción o falta de transparencia que puede existir con el dinero común y corriente.
Por todo lo mencionado y mucho más es que puede decirse entonces que, al crear Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto no solo cambió nuestra manera de ver el mundo de las finanzas en general, sino que cambio nuestra manera de ver y entender el dinero, y al hacer uso de la tecnología blockchain para ello, abrió camino para infinidad de proyectos y criptomonedas que en el curso de los años posteriores iban a crearse y que existen hoy en día.
Tal como dijo el primer astronauta en la Luna podría decirse que fue la creación de Bitcoin y la manera como Satoshi Nakamoto y la Blockchain han cambiado las finanzas: Un pequeño paso para el hombre y un gran paso para la humanidad.

It is perhaps impossible to determine in a short post, the full scope that Satoshi Nakamoto and the blockchain have had in world financial matters; but I will try to point out some of the things that I consider most relevant in this regard.
You see, Satoshi Nakamoto created nothing less than the first and most important cryptocurrency worldwide in terms of value (that is, BTC), but it should be noted that the value of the project and its innovative nature is also given by the characteristics that in itself has.
Analyzed in depth, the fact of creating a cryptocurrency or a unit of it, is something complex even today, computers that mine cryptocurrencies must solve complex mathematical problems to produce any unit of a certain cryptocurrency; But the fact of having released a project like that (with that features), back in 2009 year, when nobody could even conceive an idea like this and when the world only knew fiat money, commodities and traditional finance, it is something amazing if we see it in perspective.
Satoshi Nakamoto did something amazing when he created Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency free from the effects of inflation, due to its characteristic of having a limited supply (only 21 million Bitcoin can exist as a maximum ceiling). Even if we mention that characteristic of BTC it can give us an idea of what Satoshi Nakamoto and the blockchain has meant for finance, how it has revolutionized, changed and improved them. Central banks worldwide print and print banknotes without fixed limits (and without any kind of support since the abandonment of the gold standard back in the 70's) and this inevitably creates inflation, but with Bitcoin, this is not the case; Since both Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are decentralized, they are not issued by any central bank, and their value depends on the free play of supply and demand. It's something amazing. Satoshi Nakamoto devised a system or currency that not only cannot be affected by inflation (such as fiat money), but also eliminates the problem of corruption or lack of transparency that can exist with ordinary money and the inflation problem too.
For all the aforementioned and much more, it can be said then that, by creating Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto not only changed our way of seeing the world of finance in general, but also changed our way of seeing and understanding money, and by making use of blockchain technology for this, paved the way for countless projects and cryptocurrencies that in the course of the subsequent years were to be created and that exist today.
