Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?

The name Satoshi Nakamoto is mostly related to Bitcoin and the founder of the Cryptocurrency. When you ask people this question, the answer they will give is that Satoshi Nakamoto is the founder of Bitcoin, but the identity is anonymous, the name doesn't have a physical body, presence, or identification to back it up. All am saying is that, The name Satoshi Nakamoto might not be just a person, it might be a woman, group of genius friends, or a government propaganda.
The common thing you will find is that Satoshi Nakamoto is the founder of the first and successful Cryptocurrency ever, and that he was moved to create this because of his vision for a decentralized form of transaction, that is faster, reliable, cheaper and more private without a third party. Another is that he made this known through various forum post and the Bitcoin white paper. Bitcoin was released on January 2009 and the first block was mined, Satoshi then proceed to make the source code open to everyone and then he disappeared, without giving himself a big amount of Bitcoin reward, just like a guardian angel.
All I am trying to say is that let's all of us try to look at this in another direction, different from the anonymity part, let us look at his works, idea, words and claims.
I did some searching online and I found some interesting controversies from different people on Satoshi Nakamoto claims and the little details he gave out knowingly or unknowingly.
For example in one of his forum post, he said he was 37 years old and he live in Japan. That actually sounds suspicious and some people have questioned the claim, that how can a Japanese man, be so good in English, not just English, but Slangs used in United Kingdom nation's, words like “Bloody hard” “flat” and even some spellings , we all that United Kingdom nation's and countries colonized by them have a way of spelling their words, for example how he spelt the word “Colour” “grey” this makes suspicious arouse that the claim is wrong and the person/people might be from United Kingdom nation's, like England, Scotland.
In my own personal research UK was part of the countries that the 2007 financial crisis really affected, it affected their economy, employment rate, rise in food prices and high rent. They made a lot of financial policies during those times to grow the economy, and in my own opinion, Cryptocurrency might be one of their ideas, but they didn't want to release it as a government policy because it might get kickbacks from the banking institution and even the people who didn't trust the government at that period because of the effect of the crisis, so they might have released it anonymously under the guise of the identity Satoshi Nakamoto. That might even be the code name of the secret service operation. Just like a government bringing together a group of scientist to build a nuclear weapon in a dark underground mission, they might have bring together a group of economics, and tech gurus to create it.
This is just my opinion and how I view the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Write on two claims/theories of Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity.

  • Nick Szabo

Nick Szabo is a USA citizen with Hungary descent, he is a computer engineer and legal scholar. He his popularly known for his research and pioneering the concept of digital smart contracts.
He also proposed the idea of a decentralized form of payment called Bit Gold in 1998, but it was not successful then.
The biggest clue that raised suspicion to him was the fact that the idea of Bitcoin gold protocol and that of Bitcoin is very similar, they both share the proof of work idea of validating transactions.
British Author Dominic frisby tagged Nick Szabo the real Satoshi Nakamoto in his book tittled “Bitcoin the Future of Money”, he said he got his confirmation from a stylometrics expert who confirmed that the writing style of Nick Szabo was similar to that of Satoshi Nakamoto writings.
He also mentioned the fact that Nick Szabo and Satoshi Nakamoto both reference the economist Carl Menger in their work.
He added that Nick Szabo once worked for Digicash, a company that early attempted to bring cryptography in Digital payment.
However Nick Szabo denied the claim in an email he sent to frisby in July 2014 saying “I'm afraid you got it wrong doxing me as Satoshi Nakamoto, but I'm used to it”.

  • Michael Clear
Joshua Davies who was a new Yorker article contributor started investigation into the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, he claimed his research didn't get any direct answer but he pinned the identity down to a young graduate from Trinity college in Dublin, Michael Clear who was 23 at that times, he was one of the best the school had to offer, Joshua Davies claimed he stood out among the rest of his mate, he wasn't flashy or into fashion or a rowdy lifestyle.
He said he the clue that drew his suspicion was that Michael Clear was hired by Allied Alrish banks to help improve their currency trading software, plus he also co_authored an academic paper on peer-to-peer network. The paper made use of British words and spellings, and that Michael has good knowledge on Economics, cryptography and peer-to-peer network.
Joshua Davies claimed the conversation he had with him in a conference where he met him, he
said Michael Clear talks like he was Satoshi Nakamoto or he had knowledge of who he was, because of the way he answered his questions with answers that are not straight forward and that will make anyone think he his Satoshi Nakamoto.
Michael Clear later came out to deny the claims in his blog, where he said he doesn't even have interest in economics and Bitcoin is about economics and that Joshua Davies didn't get his jokes nor sense of humor in their conversation and that he doesn't want to talk about project he wasn't involved in and would prefer talking about his project.

Who is Wei Dai

Wei Dai is a popular cryptographer, he graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in BSC in Computer science and minor mathematics. He worked for Terrasciences in action and also worked for Microsoft in their research group.
He made a lot of project working with Microsoft but the two that standout was the development of Crypto++ and VMAC which is still maintained till today. He tries to be private and does not have any verified picture of him online.
He was one of the first few people to write and work on cryptography in Digital payment, one of his work which he revealed in 1998, a digital currency called B-money that is very similar to today Bitcoin.
Wei Dai intention for B-mo ey was for it to be an anonymous digital currency that would be used between two unknown people.
However it was never launched, the idea was more theoretical and wasn't implemented but the idea of B-money cannot be outside because it is more like the guidelines or stepping stone for this day Cryptocurrency, from the concept down to the intention it is similar to today successful Cryptocurrency.
B-money concept came in two proposal;

  • The first was in form of today Proof of work, the idea was for it to be decentralized and for it to be generated by mining just like today Bitcoin.
  • The second is like today Proof of stake, that validation of transaction would be based on staking or laying down a collateral that will be used in running the network in case there were to be fraud or hack on the system.
Although B-money as been overtaken by today Cryptocurrency because of it just being theoretical and never implemented, but it deserve big credit, and that we can see in Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcoin white paper where he credited the work of Wei Dai in B-money, they both even emailed each other and shared ideas.
Of course this drew suspicion that maybe Wei Dai is Satoshi Nakamoto but it wasn't proven.
Another instance is the use of his name Wei in ether, which is the digital currency for Ethereum network. His name Wei was used to call the smallest unit of ether as a way of appreciating him and his work and also imortalizing him.

What Is the current value of Bitcoin on the day you perform this task? Calculate the value in USD of a Satoshi of the current value. (Show work complete and riund up to 3 square feet).

As at the time and of performing this task, the price of Bitcoin is $44,004.20 gotten from Coinmarketcap.com

InShot_20210807_221517383.jpg

  • To calculate the current value of USD Satoshi:

First, we must know that 1Satoshi = 0.00000001 BTC

  • From the current value,1 BTC = $44,004.20

So working with the formula:
1 Satoshi = 0.0000001 × 44,004.20

1 Satoshi = $0.000440042

Therefore, 1 Satoshi = $0.000440 (result rounded up to three square feet).

As at the time of performing this task, the value of the Satoshi in USD is $0.000440

What is the the current value of Ether on the day you perform this task? Calculate the value in USD of a Gwei of the current value. (Show work complete and riund up to 3 square feet).

The current value of Ether as at the time of performing this task is $3,081.61 gotten from Coinmarketcap.

InShot_20210807_221556111.jpg

So to calculate the value of USD Gwei of the current value of Ether.

We must first know that; 1 Gwei = 0.000000001 Ether.

Using the current value, 1 Ether = $3,081.61

So 1 Gwei = 0.000000001 × 3,081.61

1 Gwei = 0.0000030816

1 Gwei = $ 0.00000308 (result rounded up to three square feet).

As at the time of performing this task, the value of Gwei ether in USD is $0.00000308

TRANSFER 0.001 STEEM TO AN ACCOUNT. THEN SEND 0.0001 STEEM. SHOW WHAT HAPPENS AND EXPLAIN WHY?

To transfer Steem from one account to the other I will have to go to my Steem wallet page.

InShot_20210807_221647444.jpg
This is my Steem wallet page, I clicked on the 1.708 then list of options shows up, since I want to transfer, I clicked on the transfer option.

Screenshot_20210807-222334~2.png
After clicking the transfer option, I was directed to the form page, where I will have to fill out the account I want to send the Steem to and the memo(sometimes it is compulsory or optional)
InShot_20210807_221820613.jpg
I will be sending the Steem to my friend starprince1, so I filled it in the box and I typed in my memo too. Then I clicked on the next button.

InShot_20210807_221915319.jpg
After clicking next, I will have to confirm the information by clicking the ok button below.

InShot_20210807_221959740.jpg
After clicking, I was directed to a page where I will have to login my master key in case of fraud or scammer, after login in my transaction was successful.

InShot_20210807_222131958.jpg
After the transaction was successful I can check my history in my Steem wallet page. So that transaction has appeared in my history.

Send 0.0001
So I will be sending the 0.0001 to my friend starprince1.

InShot_20210807_222020290.jpg

As we can see from the screenshot above, the transfer couldn't go through because steemit blockchain only allows people to send/transfer Steem in 3 decimal place. That is the least transferrable amount is 0.001 and the blockchain cannot accept any amount less than that. This also applied to all the tokens in steemit.

Screenshot_20210807-223351~2.png
This can be confirmed from the screenshot of my steemit wallet tokens.

Conclusion

Reading the professor lecture and answering this questions has opened my eyes widerto somethings that I have been ignorant about, like the different identity claims of Satoshi Nakamoto, I even think all those suspected are actually the ones who worked together to create Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto identity, there must be a cryptographer union or club where they have their meetings, so they must have created Bitcoin by working on it from different places without having to meet. This is just my opinion.
Like I always say, Cryptocurrency has come to stay and our generation will be known as the Cryptocurrency age, so the early we start accepting Cryptocurrency the best. Thank you.
