What is trade, what's it's function and how is it connected with cryptocurrency?

Trade includes selling, buying or exchanging some goods or services - it's the activity as old as the human kind and present in every place around the world.

We can trade the goods, like food, furniture or electronic devices, services like the haircut, repairing the car or guiding tourists, but trade includes also more abstract things like trading cryptocurrencies, standard currencies (USD, EURO or CHF), shared od the companies

Lets focus on the cryptocurrency for the moment. If body wouldnt be interested in buying the crypto or paying it for any goods or service, it would be useless. The value od w ery crypto, as much as the value of aby other coin is based on the worth we are giving it. To put it in the simple words: if you believe that some currency is worth paying more, if you and hundreds of other people are willing to buy it for more money, their value will increase. If nobody will be interested in investing in the cryptocurrency, value will drop down.

What differed between crypto and another goods is that cryptocurrencies changes their value much faster than sharings in the companies or standard currency. It gives investors the opportunity to earn a lot of money in the relatively short time but also includes higher risk to loose much more money than in another investments.

What are the tools used in the trade? What is technical and fundamental analysis - include the screenshots

There are two basic tools used in the trade: technical and fundamental analysis. They helps to predict the future price of the cryptocurrency and the risk related to the investment (probability levels). Obviously, it doesn't guarantee in 100% that the future will look like we prognosed, so it still includes some risk, but lowered it comparing to the situation when we don't use any of the tools.

Technical analysis

It's basically following hundreds of characteristics and predict future increases or decreases of the value of the currency. The most popular technic is so called "Japanese candles" which is visualized by the green and red columns.
Green colour means increasing the value while red - decreasing.

Examples

Following examples includes SBD/BTC chart taken from Bittrex. I have changed the time scale to show it on two examples:

Fundamental analysis

Otherwise called "macroeconomic analysis". It's not as popular as technical analysis but still it's quite common. It includes analysing the events from the past to predict the future. Mostly it is focused on predicting increased value when some improvements of the ecosystem and technology related to some crypto are coming.

Based on that chart we can say that the SBD in the last hours is slightly losing the value but from the perspective of few days it keeps the value quite stable, with very small differences, mostly decreasing the value for few cents.

What are the trade websites with the biggest volumen of STEEM and SBD?

To find the best place to exchange the cryptocoin, I have visited coinmarketcap.com

Based on the information included in that website, best trade of SBD to BTC is possible on:

  1. Bittrex
  2. Hit BTC (although volumen is very low here)

Besides that two platforms there is also Upbit, but it's the solution only for the citizens of Korea, as they make the exchange to their local currency mostly.

With STEEM there is much more options:

  1. Binance
  2. Hit BTC
  3. Huobi Global
  4. VCC Exchange
  5. Bittrex
  6. Poloniex

I have to admit it was a surprise for me. I used to exchange only SBD on Bittrex until now, or changing it to STEEM on the local market to power it up later.

Thanks to that short research I have discovered that trading with STEEM should be much easier, as the volumen for that crypto is much higher than for SBD. Since now I'm going to change my habits and try to trade STEEM.

Explain how to buy the cryptocurrency on one of the mentioned trade platforms

The best trade platform for buying and selling STEEM is Binance, but it was already described by the teacher. I will focus on another platform and will use Bittrex which I know quite well already.

1️⃣ Log in to the Bittrex, click the menu icon (three lines in the upper right side of the screen) and choose from the list "instant buy/sell" option.
2️⃣ Choose the currency you want to get. Default screen will show you Bitcoin, but you can find another options by clicking the marked list. Even though Bittrex is the best place to trade SBD, you won't find it on the list. You may buy STEEM though.

3️⃣ Payment for STEEM is available in Tether or Bitcoin. To get the Bitcoin you can transfer it from the other wallet (I use localbitcoin.com) or you can repeat the procedure from the first point and buy Bitcoin first.
Bittrex allows to pay for Bitcoin by credit or debit card in USD or EURO.
