Good evening dear #crypto-academy!

After reading @yohan2on's interesting lecture it's time to do the homework of the week. It is a really interesting task in which we have to choose a blockchain and talk a bit about it.

In my case the chosen project is Cardano and my choice is based on the enormous potential of this project and all the drawbacks that comes to solve the first and second generation blockchain, such as Bitcoin and Etherum respectively.

Cardano is one of the third generation blockchain, whose purpose is to build on the technology that supports Ethereum, improving the platform and Smart Contracts. Let us not forget that its founder Charles Hoskinson and Jeremy Wood, the former of whom is one of the co-founders of Etherum. Cardano is also known as the Japanese Etherum.

Cardano is a blockchain where smart contracts can be programmed and it is open source. It can also be used to program decentralised applications (dApps).

Its main objective is to solve the problems that currently present the most important blockchain and consists of scalability.

Scalability refers to the fact that millions of users can make use of the network without causing delays in the system, as is currently the case with Bitcoin and Etherum.

One of the most interesting aspects of this project is that they give a scientific approach to this project, totally unique in the world of cryptography. It has also been designed by programmers, academics and engineers from all over the world.

The most important thing for the Cardano team is that the technology is secure, flexible and, above all, scalable so that millions of users can use the network without the inconveniences we know today.

Unlike Bitcoin, Cardano uses the consensus mechanism of Proof of Stake (ouroboros), rather than Proof of Work, and is one of Cardano's major innovations and the security of the Blockchain has been compromised.

The Cardano platform employs a new algorithm for its Proof of Stake, which it has named Ouroboros. This algorithm determines how individual nodes reach consensus on the Blockchain network.
It is also important to note that Cardano has been developed in two layers, which gives the system greater flexibility.

The first layer would be the Cardano ledger and the second layer has all the information about what happens with the transactions on the Blockchain. This allows different rules to be created to evaluate transactions which allows interoperability between other blockchains.

Here is some information about Cardano, one of the blockchains that in the distant future is set to become a direct competitor of Etherum, without a doubt.

We will see what time will tell.

Después de leer la interesante clase de @yohan2on llega el turno de hacer la tarea de la semana. Realmente es una tarea es muy interesante en la cual debemos escoger un blockchain y hablar un poco de el.

En mi caso el proyecto elegido es el de Cardano y mi elección se fundamente en el enorme potencial que tiene este proyecto y todas los inconvenientes que viene a solucionar de las Blockchain de primera y segunda generación, como lo son Bitcoin y Etherum respectivamente.

Cardano es una de las blockchain de tercera generación, cuyo propósito es construir sobre la tecnología que soporta Ethereum, mejorando la plataforma y los Smart Contracts . No nos olvidemos que su fundador Charles Hoskinson y Jeremy Wood, el primero de los cuales es uno de los co-fundadores de Etherum. A Cardano también se la conoce como el Etherum Japonés.

Cardano es una blockchain donde se pueden programar contratos inteligente y es de código abierto. y en ella también se podrán programar aplicaciones descentralizadas (dApps)

Su objetivo principal es resolver los problemas que en la actualidad presentan las blockchain más importantes y consiste en la escalabilidad.

La escalabilidad se refiere a que millones de usuarios puedan hacer uso de la red, sin que esto genere demoras en el sistema, tal como hoy sucede con Bitcoin y Etherum.

Uno de los aspectos más interesantes de este proyecto es que dan un enfoque científico a este proyecto, totalmente único en el mundo de la cryptografía. Además ha sido diseñado por programadores, académicos e ingenieros de todas partes del mundo.

Lo primordial para el equipo de trabajo de Cardano es que la tecnología sea segura, flexible y sobre todo escalable para que millones de usuarios puedan utilizar la red sin inconvenientes como los que hoy conocemos.

A diferencia de Bitcoin, Cardano utiliza elmecanismo de consenso de Proof of Stake (ouroboros), en vez del Proof of Work, y constituye una de las mayores innovaciones de Cardano y la seguridad de lo Blockchain ha sido comprometida.

La plataforma Cardano emplea un nuevo algoritmo para su Proof of Stake, al que ha llamado Ouroboros. Este algoritmo determina de que manera llegan los nodos individuales al consenso sobre la red Blockchain.
También en importante resaltar que Cardano ha sido desarrollada en dos capas, lo cual le da mayor flexibilidad al sistema.

La primera capa sería lo que es el libro Contable de Cardano y la segunda capa tiene toda la información de lo que pasan con las transacciones de la Blockchain. Esto permite que se puedan crear reglas diferentes para evaluar las transacciones lo cual permite la interoperabilidad entre otras blockchain.

Aquí les he dejado un poco de información de Cardano, una de las blockchain que en un futuro lejano esta llamada a convertirse en un competidor directo de Etherum, sin dudas.

Veremos lo que termina diciendo el tiempo.
