Hi steemian,once again am happy to be back on cryptoacademy season 4 task 9. Actually, this task is one of the most interesting task have gone through so far,thanks to prof. @sapwood for the lecture. indeed have learnt alot on blockchain wallet, types,how to use and install them successfully. Before i proceed in expressing my understanding let look at the questions.

Task9 question 1

• How do you store/secure your keys?
• What are the different forms of private key(example/screenshot)?
• Download & install tronlink wallet(android/ios/extension)?
• How do you store the keys(hint-write it down on a note pad,demonstrate it with example)?
• which form of the key are you comfortable with to handle your tronlink wallet include screenshot & hide/bur the sensitive information.

How do you store/secure your keys?

Keys are one of the most important aspect of blockchain,cause it give me power and control over my account and assets,which means I have greater responsibility of securing my keys knowing that whoever has the knowledge of my keys has control of my blockchain account and can spend my associated funds.

Joining steemit i was thought and told how importance blockchain keys are and the consequences of misplacing my keys, as there is no retrieval of lost key. With this i went into two(2) different ways of storing my keys

• Firstly,I wrote down my key on the middle of my two(2) different dairies.
• I downloaded a secure online wallet with a well secure and easy password and i store it there for easy retrieval,incase i intend login to my account and am not closer to my dairy i can easily access and retrieve my keys.

What are the different forms of private key(example/screenshot)

Basically,there are three(3) main type of private keys which are:-

• private
• mnemonic
• store file key

Private:-this type of key is made up of random numbers and characters(uppercase and lowercase).it normally contains long combination of capital and small letter words plus numbers which are difficult to memorize cause of it complexity. I first came across this key immediately i sign up newly on steemit. It very long,in that case it can be easily safe by drafting or writing it down.

mnemonic key:-this is a key in form of list of words used in sequence to access or restore asset on wallet.this key is provided to us when signing up on tronlink, it is likely made up of 12 to 24 words which are easy readable and it easy to understand and cram so it requires storing it in a secure place for security reasons. It can be stored by screenshotting and writing it down for the purpose of saving it in a secure place.

Example

store file key:-this key is made up of combinations of signs,letters and numbers.it is always long and hard to cram and memorize unlike the mnemonic key.
Because it is very complex, writing down this keys maybe very risky cause you may miss a letter,figure or even symbol which you know that missing this things will make the password automatically incorrect so it adviceable to draft or copy-and-past some where offline for easy retrieval

Download & install tronlink wallet(Andriod,ios and etension)?
Using ios

Step1

To download and install tronlink wallet, i visit my app store then search on tronlink and click on it.

Step2

Immediately, it will appear then i simply click on the installation button to install.after installation i will then proceed to opening the app by clicking on the open button seen below.

Step3

Immediately the application is open 3 features will appear which are create account,import account and cold wallet.
Due to the intention of creating an account i will simply click on create account button as seen below.

After clicking on create account button a page which contains a content of information will appear,then i read on the users agreement content then accept by clicking on the accept button to proceed.

After accepting the rules,i will be referred to a page which i will be able to create the wallet name of my choice.

After inputting the wallet name of my choice i will then proceed to create my password which must contain a upper and lower case letter has instructed on the page.

I will be asked to confirm the password again which i will do.

After confirmation of password
I will be advised to back up my mnemonic key

Immediately i backed up,my mnemonic key was given to me. this key is very important which i was advised not to display or misplace them as it can not be retrieved if lost.

I was asked to confirm my mnemonic key that was given earlier.

And finally, after confirming my mnemonic key my tronlink account was created.

How do you store the keys(hint write it down on a note pad,demonstrate it with example)?

Like i said before,i simply store the keys by writing it down on the middle of my two daires which i rarely use, i store the dairies on my cupboard where it is safe and secure and which i can easily access when am in need of it.

which form of the keys are you comfortable with to handle your tronlink wallet?, include screenshot & hide/blur the sensitive information.

Unlike other forms of keys which contains combination of letters,numbers and symbols that can be very difficult to jot down knowing that if you miss a letter,number or symbol the keys automatically becomes invalid,mnemonic is the easiest form of keys interms of being easy to store and can even be memorized so for me i will be very much comfortable with the mnemonic key.

It has been a good time going through this task,once again i want to thank prof. @sapwood for the well explanatory lectures,through his lectures post i was able to gain alot of knowledge about blockchain keys as a whole and how it is important to keep them safe knowing that once you lost you keys you loss your account.
Really, it has been fun going through this lectures.
