What is litecoin

Litecoin as one of the altcoin is a cypto currency with a currency symbol of LTC ranking 7th in crypto currency world, Bitcoin and ripple (XRP) are the only crypto currency that is larger than litecoin as it is the third largest cryptocurrency with a marketcap of over $12billion,litecoin is an open source software project under the MIT/X11 license, it's as a child birthed by Bitcoin, developed in the same block chain but litecoin is faster and cheaper than Bitcoin because it take 10 minutes to confirm a transaction when dealing with bitcoin, but with litecoin it takes 2.5 minutes transact dealings, and few charges are demanded on transaction when dealing with litecoin, it was created by a former google employee Charlie Lee in the year 2011 which is 2years after the birth of Bitcoin.

When I knew about litecoin

To be truthful I just learnt about altcoins not long ago (2weeks to be precise) from a fellow members in @steemalive community during a conversation, I took my phone and made a research to enlighten myself more about this coins,I proceeded In my research and I found different kind of altcoin.i read on few of the coins which include DAI, XRP, BNB and LTC but to my surprise I found it as an assignment in the community.
I learnt that LTC can be traded and it is not controlled by the government, research says it is wallet encrypted In the sense that your wallet are secured and your transactions can be viewed.

why litecoin is different.

• Transaction on litecoin are faster than Bitcoin because it take 2.5 minutes to complete a transaction which is 4times faster than Bitcoin

• Verification of transactation are speedy..like when I made a transaction of 100ltc to another wallet, after the transfer i was doubting if I transferred the exact amount...within the speed it works on, notification of the transfer came when I was still doubting and I confirmed.

• The Prof of work algorithm of litecoin is scrypt

Litecoin can be gotten in two ways

• Litecoin minning..
  mining of litecoin doesn't involve digging, it involves mining computer with the use of Windows, Linux, MacOS and other operating systems, miners are the those who mine coins..mining litecoin doesn't involve Fiat, It require patience and few appropriate tools, as a lite coin miner on every block created you received 12.5 litecoin like wise the lite coin is only premitted to produce 84million coins.

• Another way to get litecoin is through buying on exchanges like binance and so on..

Litecoin liquidity

AS you can see above, LTC can easily be traded for other coins like BTC, ETH, BNB and so many other as you can see, the conversion of the litecoin liquidity could also be converted into cash...
