Crypto Academy Week 11 - Homework Post for @yohan2on | Designing a Cryptocurrency Investment portfolio

Here is a task written as a homework for attending @yohan2on lecture of the steemit crypto academy. I would say the lesson is an really outstanding one as it is practical intended. The task as well is a push for me as I've always thought I've not learnt about crypto enough to blindly put my funds in it. Thanks to @yohan2on the task broke the limitation.

Setting up a portfolio is ideal for every crypto trader or investor. This makes it easy to interact and manage your investments of coins. However, it's pre-requisite to understand the coins themselves and the type of investment you intended. Below is my set up of six coins portfolio;

Tether (USDT)

I believe the first place to start to investing is getting or holding a stablecoin. In my case, Tether (USDT) is a chosen one for me. The USDT is a fiat-backed stablecoin that has its price about the value of a US dollars. Ideally, stablecoins like USDT are not subjected to wide value fluctuations which make them a good reserve of digital assets.
Reason to buy;
In this case, I can have my funds reserved in digital form without the fear of loosing it in seconds. This funds can be held until I find a suitable time to open a trade against a profit promising cryptocurrency.

Here is a three months range USDT chart. Its variation is constrained to approximately 1USD.

Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin is a good crypto to invest in. Bitcoin occupies a giant portion of the cryptosphere and its earned popularity keeps it growing day by day. Bitcoin is good choice when it comes to holding cryptocurrency.

The first time I wanted to invest in Bitcoin, looking at the chart, I thought the price was too high and decided to wait till it drops to a lower price, in which I set the price alert. Up till date the alert never rang but the price keeps going farther and farther away from it. This shows that Bitcoin keeps growing daily.

Reason to buy;
Early this year, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk makes it company invest $1.5 billion dollars and declare that that the company would soon be receiving Bitcoin at point of purchase. This portrays a bright future for the coin and has attracted more investors. If Elon Musk can invest so big in it who I'm I not to?

Here is a year range BTC/USDT chart. Its good looking. It shows that those who invested about 7months ago are in deep joy now

Bitcoin has got its eyes on breaking the 60000 dollars resistance. It has done it twice in the last three months, and i guess it's future is bright to break beyond that.

Ether (ETH)

The Ether of the Ethereum network is the second most reputable cryptocurrency after Bitcoin according to coin market capitalization. I believe the coins that appear at the top of the table, especially, first twenty are doing well enough and are reliable investments.

Reason to buy;

Here is a three months range ETH/USDT chart. Its good looking. It shows a progressive growth over last few months

Here comes lighter coins in addition to the heavy Bitcoin and ethereum; Lumen (XLM) and Dogecoin

Lumen (XLM)

The XLM is a token on the Stellar Network. The stellar was designed to aid easy and cross border transaction and exchange of currency. They are centered on the global/international commercial interaction.
This token has a good future highlight as world is rapidly going global integrated.

Reason to buy;

Here is a months range XLM/USDT chart. The price of XLM is quite low compared to we have at the beginning of the month, Hoping it breaks the resistance again

Dogecoin (DOGECOIN)

Dogecoin was orginally designed as joke to mock the nature of cryptocurrency. However its recent hight of market has drawn more attention to it. It's no longer a joke but a reality establishing itself.
Reason to buy;

The Tesla CEO recently approved this coin singly by tweets. This enough is an added push and attention to Dogecoin. Its something worth holding for time.

And lastly; the BNB

Binance Coin (BNB)

The BNB is a good investment for Binance users. BNB was initially an Ethereum protocol developed token but later placed on the Binance Smart Chain. It was developed as an alternative means of paying for transaction fees on Binance exchange. Investing in BNB offers two advantages
1- Profit from potential price growth as its price keeps growing periodically. The popularity of Binance itself gives a good advantage.
2- Discount in trading fees.
Reason to buy;

I use Binance and having a good amount of BNB would be good for business.

Analysis:- From the table above, it shows that my total worth at the time of investment was $70.65 and now it's worth $73.89. Out of this, $13.06 was a reserve which is not expected and didn't change. DOGE happens to be the best positive turn out while XLM is least; it didn't chage. Overall i made a profit of $3.25. This means that if i liquidate my asset now I will walk home with$3.25 dollars added to my money.

In conclusion, investing or trading in cryptocurrency has been a source of increased wealth to people in the 21st century. This generation is really a blessed one.
