The Altcoin word consists of Alt+Coin. Here Alt = alternative and Coin = cryptocurrency. So we can say Altcoin means alternative crypto-currencies. Simply, Altcoin is referred as any coin or crypto-currencies besides Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the mother and father of Altcoins. Because all Altcoins follow Bitcoin. The first Altcoin named 'namecoun' originated in 2009, two years after the invention of Bitcoin.Altcoins have become so widespread that there are now more than 5,000 altcoins. Altcoins include Litecoin, Ethereum, Tether, Cardano, BNB, Chainlink, Steem, etc.

Analyzing the market over the last two months, we see that the price of light coins is increasing by a little bit every month, which means a good future for light coins.

When the litecoin was introduced in 2011 the price of one litecoin was 30 cent USD. Then in just two years the price of one litecoin was 3 dollars, now the price of one litecoin is 272 USD.Its position among the top ten cryptocurrencies over the past few years.Its price goes up every year, even every month.
According to researcher, litecoin has a bright future. If you have enough money you can invest in litecoin without any hesitation.
