Hi everyone and welcome to my homework post for week 7. Lecture was delivered by Respected Professor @besticofinder. It is good to be the part of this lecture. I am going to compare LISK and QTUM in todays post.

1. Comparison between LISK and QTUM.

Lisk is a cryptocurrency and ERC-20 token. It is a platform that has been built on Ethereum blockchain. Its aim is to serve as a platform for decentralized applications (dapps). Moreover it facilitates its users to run special designed programs across a network of computers running shared software. LSK is the cryptocurrency of Lisk platform.

Whst is Qtum.

Qtum is a decenterlized blockchain platform that enables user to develop applications on this platform. Qtum is the platform that uses functionality of both Ethereum and Bitcoin at one place. Qtum uses EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) to ensure the use of smart contracts. Qtum is also a cryptocurrency with properties of ERC-20 token.

2. Comparison of Vision.

Lisk Vision.

Lisk goal is to facilitate developers and programmers to build new applications with the use of Java Script language and Typescript languages. It aims to transfer skills of developers more rapidly. These languages are widely used in general web development.

Qtum Vision.

Qtum creators team vision is to create a blockchain system that is able to detect problems and to solve these problems using self-awsarenes. This vision of Qtum is believed to be achieved through the use of automatic smart contracts that are responsible for detection of problems and giving proposal for the solution of these problems in the system.

3. Foundation and Teams.

Lisk was founded in 2016. Max Kordek and Olivier Beddows were the founders of Lisk. It was originated from a fork of Crypti cryptocurrency, that was also based on Javascript. This project was started in 2014 by Kordek and Beddows. An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) was held in February 2016 by the founders for Lisk's Cryptocurrency LSK.

Qtum is a Singapore based foundation that manages the funds of Qtum. Founders of Qtum consists of Patrick Dai, Jordan Earls and Neil Mahi. It was founded in year 2016. ICO of Qtum was held in 2017 by the founders. $15.6 million was raised within 5 days as the result of ICO held.

4. Social reach and Market Capitalization.

Lisk raised about 1400 BTC in its ICO held in 2016 that was about roughly $5.6 million. So it can be said that it has a good social reach. Market Capitalization of Lisk today is $683,646,221.99 and it is on #104 on coinmarketcap.com.

Qtum also have a good social reach and it raised about 15.6 million USD in just 5 days during its ICO held. Qtum is at # 94 in rank today at coinmarketcap.com. Its market Capitalization is $836,061,825.29 today.

Factors to be considered for Investment.

Now we will compare these two crypto assets by taking into consideration the factors that are very important to be considered before investing in any crypto assets.

1. Kind of Capital.

Lisk is a small capital as its market capitalization is $687.53M and it is below $1 billion. So it will be categorized in Small capital. Small capital has potential to give huge returns to investors.

Qtum is also a Small Capital with market cap below $1 billion. So it also has great potential to give huge returns to its investors. Its market cap today is $836.29M.

2. Liquidity.

Lisk can be traded on many exchanges and it has many pairs available. So it can easily be traded on exchanges. Thus Lisk is good enough to be invested. Below screenshot shows the liquidity details of Lisk.

Qtum is also very easy to be traded as there are many pairs available and there are many exchanges who accept trading of Qtum on their platform. So its liquidity is good and it can be trusted for investment purposes.

Conclusion.

I must say that it is very hard to choose from such very close competitors. Both are having good properties that are taken into consideration before investing. I will choose Qtum as my investment as it has good Market Capitalization than LSK. I have gone through all the aspects and discussed with you and it looks good to me to invest in Qtum. Qtum ranks is also better than LSK.
