Hi everyone and welcome to my homework post of week 6. It was a wonderful lecture giving new ideas and points to be considered before making any investment in cryptocurrencies. Thanks to Professor @besticofinder.

Whenever an investor wants to make an investment, it is important to get knowledge about the product he wants to invest in. Same is the rule while investing in cryptocurrency and it is very important to carry out proper study before investment is made. Whitepaper is the main catalogue that provides the complete information about the project or cryptocurrency. There are some other factors to be considered.
• Vision of the any cryptocurrency is very important. So study about the vision of a cryptocurrency.
• Use of the cryptocurrency in question is also very important. Proper study should be made about the use of cryptocurrency before investing.
• Is there any competitor of the product. If yes, how to meet this challenge.
• Trading volume of the cryptocurrency should be known to the investor and on what platforms this asset can be traded or exchanged.

I am going to discuss about Qtum Coin. I would like to invest in this crypto asset and I will explain the details of this investment below.

What is Qtum.

Qtum is a cryptocurrency that is the combination of the properties of two cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum.Qtum is a system that is based on UTXO smart contracts. It uses Proof of Stake Consensus model. Qtum is a decentralized blockchain platform; hence it is a platform that can be used to develop more applications. Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is used by Qtum that ensures the Ethereum smart contracts to be run on Qtum.

When it was Founded.

Qtum was founded by Patrick Dai, Jordan Earls and Neil Mahi in 2016. The ICO of Qtum was held in 2017 which resulted in raising approximately 15.6 million USD in very short time. Qtum Foundation is managing the funds of Qtum and it is based in Singapore.

Vision.

Vision of Qtum creators is to make blockchain a system that has its own self-awareness to determine the problems and their solution. This vision of Qtum is believed by Qtum developers to be achieved through the use of smart contracts designed specifically to monitor the network and then detect technical points that causes failure. Then these contracts will be able to generate proposals for solution.

Social Reach.

Social reach of Qtum is very good and it can be assessed in the way that it raised approximately 15.6 million USD in just 5 days. It is attracting investors due to its features and it has used properties of both Bitcoin and Ethereum, using smart contracts. So it can be said that Qtum has a good reputation resulting in healthy social reach.

Team of Qtum.

Qtum has very reputed members as its team. Patrick Dai is graduated from Draper University and also was employed by Alibaba. Patrick Dai has abundant experience of blockchain industry development. Other member include Neil Mahi, who has more than 20 years experience of developing software and also having much experience in blockchain space. Jordan Earls is also very much experienced software developer and well known member of crypto community. So it can be said that it has a good team behind it and it can be trusted.

Market Capitalization.

Market capitalization of Qtum is good and it is on 101 number in the list right now. So, it has a bright future and it is being used on different exchanges, thus making my decision to be good as it has many pairs and can be traded easily on different platforms.

Conclusion.

Keeping in view above all discussion and factors I have discussed, I am very hopeful that Qtum has a bright future and I would like to invest in Qtum in 2021. Factors of market capitalization, team behind it, its vision and having properties of both Bitcoin and Ethereum, favors my decision to make investment in Qtum.
