Steemit Crypto Academy Season 2: Week2 | TOKENS, PART 1: by @ pelon53

ICO
The terms ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and ICO (Initial Currency Offering) are commonly used interchangeably. The majority of the time, it has to do with business financing. Since a long time, people have been talking about Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), but they haven't been very popular until now, when everything that has to do with cryptocurrency and technology has completely revolutionised the world.

The Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is just another facet of cryptocurrency, but it's a big one because it has to do with its birth. Alejandro Nieto is a Mexican actor.

These currencies are used to make low-cost payments and transactions, as well as to keep them safe and store their value, as there are markets where they can be traded for real money. What the ICO is intended to fund is the creation of a new cryptocurrency in the Bitcoin style.

At a closed door, the developers of this currency perform a pre-minado and offer this new currency in exchange for other well-known currencies such as Bitcoin, which can be exchanged for real-world money. As a result, an ICO provides a new currency in exchange for money to new investors. There is a similarity between an ICO and an IPO (initial public offering), or in Spanish, a public sale offer. When a new currency is issued, this term is used to describe the actions that can be exchanged for cash.

When someone uses blockchain technology for a unique purpose, there must be an asocial noneda, which is referred to as a token to avoid confusion about whether it is a new currency. As a result, an ICO could be launched to fund the project, and the tokens could then be traded for cash.

The differences between ICO and IEO are mentioned.
ico ieo is a combination of the words "ico" and "ieo

A centralised authority or entity is assigned to the project.
To start an ICO, you don't need anyone's permission (at least in the vast majority of jurisdictions). It should start with an active marketing plan that includes writing web pages and technical documents as well as involving investors in the project. It's a matter of trust. In addition, increasing the need for an MVP (minimum viable product) can boost investor confidence.

In the case of IEO, this is not the case. Participating in a project exchange necessitates approval of the exchange and acceptance of the project's terms and conditions in order to gain access to the users. Furthermore, in many cases, before appearing on the project's portal, the user must comply with a set of conditions established by the exchange.

The amount of money that can be exchanged is limited.
As previously stated, the participation of users in certain interconnections is restricted by the IEO. If there are potential investors in the project who are not yet registered on the platform, the exchange must go through a full registration and identity verification process before depositing cryptocurrency and investing in the project.

This character trait has both strong and weak points. On the one hand, this is a positive because it provides a user base for the project as well as funding that could be a potential investor. The disadvantage is that he or she is unable to invest their project in another way.

Investors have a higher level of security.
From the perspective of investors, it is possible to provide IEO options that are more secure than ICOs. To begin with, the IEO (or at least the fusioned intercambio) provides investors with the tokens that they have actually purchased. Second, because it will be included in the IEO's interchanges, the IEO provides a guarantee to speculative investors that the acquired assets will be commercialised in some way. This could be in the lower half of the table, but it's worth noting that many ICOs have been cancelled because the developer failed to specify an entry point for the token in the exchange.

What are the benefits and drawbacks of initial coin offerings?

The creators of money don't have to worry about obtaining funding through traditional channels, allowing them to create much more advantageous conditions.

Individual investors have a distinct advantage. It's about funding a very innovative company directly. In general, minorist investors do not have access to common funding channels and must rely on large sums of money to fund their projects. The fact that this possibility does not exist is due to the fact that it is typically associated with a high risk. In general, banks and risk capital funds sell to qualified investors (for strategic and legal reasons) rather than to minorists.

Contrary to popular belief, there are some disadvantages to using this product.
Participating in an ICO comes with a lot of risks. The first is that the project did not go as planned, and the funds you received as a result are useless. There is nothing new because investing in a business project is a risky proposition.

Another danger is that this type of work is unregulated and outside of the current financial system. This does not sit well with the government for a variety of reasons. On the other hand, he has lost control over his money and taxes. Meanwhile, this is due to the fact that these ICOs have the potential to be used for criminal activities (terrorist financing, for example). As a result, it's always possible to see how ICOs have become illegal. China, for example, is taking this step, but the same thing happens in democracies like South Korea.
ICO, on the other hand, has other issues. For instance, the money in the bank account is not secure, and someone has taken it all. Investors suffered losses recently when the DAO stole more than $ 150 million. This is a threat that cannot be overlooked.

Mention at least one initial coin offering (ICO) that is about to launch, is in development, or has recently completed. Explain the development team's project and include any relevant information. (For instance, IOTA, Spectrecoin, and Ark.)

ETHEREUM

Many people who are interested in cryptocurrencies have heard of Ethereum. Una plataforma de director distribuido de código abierto que los usuarios pueden utilizar para crear y ejecutar distribuidas aplicaciones (dapps) para implementar y usar inteligentes contratos.

Vitalik Buterin, the platform's brain, is perhaps the most well-known of all the cryptocurrency community's newcomers. Furthermore, through the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, the platform will collaborate with hundreds of key clients, including the world's largest corporation, to implement blockchain technology and intelligent contracts in global corporations.

The Ethereum Initial Coin Offering (ICO) took place in the summer of 2014. Naturally, it was a huge success. The team made a profit of $15.5 million after selling 50,000 tokens for $ 0.311 each. Ethernet Rium set a new record on January 14, 2018, with a price of $ 1377 to 72 cents.
