What are Centralized & Decentralized Exchanges?

Centralized Exchange (CEX): A centralised exchange is one that is regulated or operated by a single entity, such as a corporation. Users must comply with terms and conditions in order to perform tasks such as trading, KYC, and many other things that can be seen on centralised exchanges. Because all funds are stored at a central authority, centralised exchanges are not secure. If they are hacked, all of the user's funds will be lost.

Decentralized Exchange (DEX): A decentralised exchange is one that is not controlled by any central authority or company. DEX is more secure because it is built on top of Blockchain; users have direct access to their funds, and no central authority has access to funds, so users are more secure, and blockchain is unhackable, so we don't have to worry about decentralising exchange. In-depth Decentralized Exchanges are Ethereum-based smart contracts written in the Solidity programming language.

MetaMask is a tool that allows you to create your own custom
MetaMask is a cryptowallet that allows you to interact with decentralised applications (Dapps). To use it, you must first instal the MetaMask extension in your browser in order to interact with decentralised exchanges such as Uniswap.

To instal MetaMask Wallet Search in Google Chrome, simply follow these instructions. I use the Firefox browser, but Chrome is also an option.

What is UniSwap

UniSwap is a decentralised exchange based on the Ethereum Blockchain that allows users to swap ERC20 tokens for ERC20 tokens or ETH for any ERC20 token. Uniswap have trading 24 hours volume $775,844,787 USD.

How to swap ETH to ERC20
Follow these steps:
Go to UniSwap

Click on Connect to a wallet

Conntect your wallet I'm using MetaMask so I'm going to click on MetaMask Button

Now MetaMask screen appear and click on connect

Now you can see that your wallet is attached and that it displays my ETH balance.

Now Click on swap button

This detailed screen will appear now click on confirm swap

Now, click on the swap button, and a detailed screen will appear. Click on the confirm swap button, and the swap will be completed.
