An article with poor content due to the absence of answers and analysis for several aspects of the topic, and here are the details.

• A simplified and understandable explanation of the indicator and its use.

In order to perfectly read the trend strength, the direction of the ADX line must be known and considered, when the ADX line begins to rise, it also means that trend is increasing and gaining momentum which will cause prices to as well move with the direction of the trend.

• It is important to keep in mind that the average directional index is not an indicator of trend direction, but an indicator of trend strength. A strong uptrend or a strong downtrend will both result in high average directional index values.

• You did not provide a practical example of how to calculate ADX indicator.

In order to obtain a more accurate information it is necessary we take a long width to avoid inconsistencies.

• Determining the best settings mainly depends on the trading strategy that the trader is willing to use. In the short term, it is advisable to reduce the number of periods, or in the long term, we can increase the value of the period.

• You did not understand what was required of you in the third question, so your answer was completely wrong.

• In the last question, your answers were superficial as you did not go into details and did not provide some illustrative examples.

• You did not answer the fourth question regarding the various trends and false signals identified by the indicator.
