Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S10W6 - Delegation On The Steem Blockchain
How are you? Hope so everyone would be safe and sound just like me as I am also safe Alhamdulillah...
I am very happy while participating in this engagement challenge and I am really impressed by topic chosen by community but also feeling somehow sad while participating because this is last engagement challenge last of season 10 but still I want to participate in a best way so let's see about delegation at blockchain and discuss answers of all the questions.

Delegation of steem power is a process at steemit platform through which we can take advantage from another account by recieving delegation or you can say by receiving loan from an account.
- It's a user personal will or choice to delegate to a specific account.
- Delegation of steem power also encourage healthy relationships among users in a way of helping each other in the form of give and take of delegation.
- Delegation is quite safe so people don't hesitate while delegating their steem power.
Main goals of delegation
Following are the main goals of delegating steem power:
Delegation goal is always known by the user who is delegating means a users always delegate to another account for a purpose.
If user want to help out another account then he may delegate to that user keeping in mind his own wish.
(It's important to note that amount of delegation that a user wants to do would always depends on user's SP who want to delegate as well as his personal wish)Delegation can be done for supporting a user's account and can also be used for supporting community account so that a new community may grow rapidly due to high SP.
(Normally in case of delegating to a user is done by others in case when that user don't have enough resource credits to perform different actions like voting, commenting etc)Delegation can also be done for purpose of buying votes as in case of users that use voting bots they have to delegate a lot of Steem power mostly to a bot to gain support from bot.
Delegation safety
If I talk about safety of delegation process at blockchain then according to me it's not risky when you delegate to another account either it is a community account or it is a user's account. It is basically a loan you can say that you give to someone's account for a specific period of time and whenever you want to withdraw your delegation you can withdraw it without permission of anyone so delegation is a thing which is totally under the delegator.
If you delegate to someone then it doesn't mean that other person can steal your power in fact it remains very safe all the time so there is no worry you think about loss of these steem power.
How can you delegate?
There is a very brief procedure you can follow if you want to delegate your power to someone's account.

You would open steem world website and then you would open the dashboard by logging in your account.
Next step would be of scrolling down in which you would see many of the options and you have to click on an option which is delegation and when you open it then a page would be shown like this.

- They will ask the account to which you want to delegate your power and they will ask then amount of power you want to delegate so you have to fill these boxes according to your wish.
- After completion of this step next step would be for confirming this action and it would require your private active key so you have to put your private active key here and then your delegation would be done and you can see your delegations by clicking on outgoing option.

Yes I have delegated my power to different community accounts before but I have never delegated my power to a user's account.
I have delegated to different community accounts because I trust on the owners of these community accounts because they all are really very trustworthy. If I talk about my delegation that I did it on the request of someone or I did delegation voluntarily so I want to clear one point that most of the users that delegate are those who mostly delegate at the request of someone so I am also one of those users.
I didn't delegate to those accounts voluntarily but there were some people and some parties who request me to delegate to their accounts and they are also trustworthy and I have a complete trust on their owners because they are also very cooperative and supportive that's why I delegate to there accounts on their request and I am happy with it and there is no regret I have by giving delegations to these community accounts.

As I have said that I have trust on these accounts that's why there is no need to withdraw my delegation still because I am here for long time and still I don't have any problem with delegations that I give to other accounts so that is no need to withdraw these delegations still. From above screenshot you can see edit option by which you can edit the delegations that you made.
Yes I have delegated my power to those communities in which I don't published too much content and this is because my intentions and my purpose is to support that community account that's why I delegated my power around 800 SP to an account recently and this is just because I want to help out that account without keeping in mind that I have some personal benefits with them.
My intentions and my thoughts are that if I have no loss while delegating to another account then I should help out some of the accounts which are able to gain my trust or which are trustworthy so I am very happy with my delegation that I made recently to a community account and I am not worried at all about it.
Many times I discussed that I am not against steem power delegation system to another account because it's a way of helping others and away of developing strong bonding and connection among all users which leads towards good interaction and interaction is most important thing for development of platform so I think if there is no loss you have personally then you should not be worry about delegation and helping someone is really a great thing so I would must favour it.
(It's important to note that some people don't prepare their mind and don't agree with it when they have to delegate because they think that the power that would be earned while duration would go to account to which it would be delegated which is extremely true but still according to me it's not a big deal but the first priority should be to help someone if you don't have your personal loss)
Following would be the criterias that I would be used while delegating to someone:
- If community team would be trustworthy and if user would be trustworthy who want to receive delegation from me.
- If there would be transparency among community team while supporting others.
- If community team would be cooperative and interactive with everyone.
(In case if all criterias are not present in a user or in a community then I could not set my mind for delegating them)
If we talk about delegating to users without benefits in return then I want to say that there is no worry to delegating them and I am not at all against it because if we talk about a user then I have already discussed it that mostly we need to support new users by giving them delegations because they have issues of resource credit which limit their work like posting ,commenting etc and when someone delegates to new user then due to power which there received by delegation they may work without any limitation and they become independent while performing every action at platform like upvoting, commenting, posting. So a user with high power should always try to help a new one by giving him or her delegation so I am completely in favour of it.
Following are the criterias to support a user by me:
- According to me it is risky or seems strange according to rules and ethics of platform to support a particular user without any reason even if the user have high SP.
(It is important to not that if a user is stable at platform and have enough resource credits then supporting that user by delegatting could be suspicious to some extent so I would not support a particular user who have enough resource credits)
This criteria is just opposite to the first one. If I find a user who have very low resource credits and who is new at platform then I would try to help that user without taking any benefit from him but if I find that user trustworthy then I would help him or her and otherwise there would be no chance to helping him or her.
Rather than all these things there is no particular user about which I can say that I can support him so a user should be new and should have very low resource credit if he want to receive delegation from me.
I want to invite here @suboohi , @wilmer1988 , @steemdoctor1 to participate
Saludos, mucha suerte y feliz tarde.
That's great to hear! Delegating your power to communities you believe in shows your commitment to supporting them without expecting personal benefits. Keep up the good work!
Very glad to read your publication about delegation which shows that you are always in the favor of delegation and can easily delegate your Sp without thinking about your personal benefits.
Wish you very good luck 🤞
Hi, @khursheedanwae. Nice to meet you here on contest
For delegating SP to user. the criteria you provide is very good. because new users are often confused about interacting in steemit because their SP is small.
I used to experience it. I cannot comment, vote, let alone publish articles At that time I was very frustrated. Ha ha
Moreover, at that time I did not understand the function of SP.
Thank for sharing valuable content here. Success for you!
