Greetings dear friends of steemit! Before I start I would like to thank @steemitblog, @steemcurator01 and @steemcuratosr02 for this steemitcrytoacademy initiative which is a great learning opportunity for those of us who are new to the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

In this post I will perform the activity proposed in his lesson by @sapwood "Blockchain Wallet- Chapter-2" for this I will propose the download of a wallet that I have been doing for some time, as it is Atomic Wallet this has as a reference a seed that allows to recover the account, but if you lose the funds are lost forever.

How do I download & install a wallet? Examples(Hint- Etherum, Tron, etc or any other you wish to)?

atomic 1.png

To begin I wanted to download from the official page, as seen in the image from there was directed to the googleplay (I am an Android user) from where he proceeded to download,

atomic 2.png

From there the app requests an initial password, once indicated the seed of 12 words that one must carefully save is provided (I wrote it on a page that I saved in a safe place).

Atomic 3.png

Once you have the page open, you can go to settings at any time and locate the seed, so you can save it.

How do I restore a wallet using a Private key/Mnemonic key/Keystore file?

atomic 8.png

To test the seed, I logged in the part that say restore, and entered the words from the seed, then the wallet was set up again without any problems. (I had to create a new password)The truth is that for a beginner like me, the procedures were quite simple.

How important is the Mnemonic key or Private Key or Keystore File during the installation/restoration of a wallet?

I think it is very important to have this secure element in the wallet, many times people put a password and trust that they will memorize it, having these keys allows to be aware of the importance of security and to keep them in a safe place, apart from its main security feature that would be to prevent anyone to duplicate our wallet knowing our key, or in case of theft or loss of the mobile device.

Any Blockchain wallet that you have used before, that has the experience of any / all three forms of keys: private file / mnemonic / key store?

Well the experience presented here with Atomic, Trust Wallet (both mnemonic key type and steemit's tron wallet in which the key is sent as a private file once it is created.

Finally I would like to thank @sapwood for his excellent lessons this has been a great help to understand the importance of the keys in the security of the wallets, I look forward to the next lessons.

Thank you for submitting homework task-2 in Crypto-Academy.

To test the seed, I logged in the part that say restore, and entered the words from the seed, then the wallet was set up again without any problems. (I had to create a new password) The truth is that for a beginner like me, the procedures were quite simple.

That seed is known as Mnemonic key, which is a simplified version of the private key which are generally 12 words phrases (15, 18, 21, 24 words also). When you save your Mnemonic key, pay attention to the correct sequence of words, the correct sequence can only unlock your wallet.

Well the experience presented here with Atomic, Trust Wallet (both mnemonic key type and steemit's tron wallet in which the key is sent as a private file once it is created.

You can also find the other forms of the private key(Mnemonic/Keystore file) of your Tron wallet, by clicking on "Export Account".

The best practice to secure your keys is to write it down on a notepad/piece of paper, better break it into 3/4 parts and keep them safe, off-line. Never take a screenshot, never try to store them in an email or cloud storage facilities. You can use a brand new Pen drive to store your keys. But always keep a hardcopy.

Thank you.

Hi!! Thanks a lot for the feed back! it complemented my experience with the wallets, I´m already working in this week task!
