Crypto Academy Season 3 Beginners' course - Task 1: STEEM & TRON By joemuk

Hello every steemian in this great community of smart people, i go by the name of joemuk and i am new here in this community, today i am going to start writing crypto Academy homework so without waisting time lets dive straight into this starting from the first to the last question.

1). What is PoB?

PoB(proof of brain) in steem can be define as the combination of content creation, reward pool and voting system.

In steemit there is a reward pool of 65% of the total rewards belonging to proof of brain, it is shared between the authors of the content and the curators which is the voter (50/50)

2). What is the meaning of curation to you in Steem Blockchain?

Curation in steemit blockchain means upvoting, commenting and resteeming a content created by an author in the steemit platform, but before you do all this please make sure the author apply some markdowns and that his content is plagiarism free then you will decide the weight of the vote you want to give to the author, proper curation goes like this.

I). You read a good post and check whether it is plagiarism free.
II). You decide what the author gets between a vote, comment or resteem
III). You curate.

Note: in voting you can choose the percentage you are willing to give to the author just like the image below then after the post expires after seven days you get curation award.

What are the benefits of building SP?

In steemit sp means the steem power which is the reward that we gain from steem that gives us relevance in the steemit blockchain unlike steem, sbd and tron.

Benefits of Powering up Your steemit account

• The bigger your sp the more reason why people will want you to be their witness and the bigger the reward you get just gor being a witness.
• It gains you more followers especially from those who haver smaller sp than yours because they will need your support like upvoting their content and so on.
• you get reward from steemit just because you hold a large amount of sp.

How do you explain self-upvote as a good or bad social behavior & why?

This happens when the author of that article upvotes his or her own article which is not a good thing and it is condemned in the steemit blockchain, it doesn't encourage proof of brain and many account holders do it, some do it because they feel like their article is not getting any upvote or attention while some do it because they have figure out that if they upvote their post after 5 minutes and their post gets a big reward, they want both the percentage the curators are supposed to be getting and the authors percentage too.

In the screen shots above you can see that the price of bitcoin is at $0.4138 ranked number 173 with a market cap of $161,849,307.04

What are the different tokens do you earn by socializing in Steem Blockchain?

Currently the steemit platform reward me and other authors with 4 different tokens and they are.

I). Steem power: this token is given to you as a reward by steemit when you write and post a good quality also quantity article, it is also rewarded to you when you upvote a good post and it can also be gotten when you power up with steem which is another token in the steemit blockchain so that your presence is noticed because the bigger your sp the more special your operation in the steemit block chain will be but this steem power can not be used out side of steemit, to use it outside of steem you will need to power down it to steem but that is not what you should do because as the crypto space is growing if you want to be a big part of it in steemit then hold a lot of steem power.

II). Steem: this is the liquid form of steem power but you can't get it from being a author but you get it as a reward if you curate meaning you upvote other good article, unlike steempower you can transfer it to other users in steemit and also to exchanges that is if you plan to sell it for USDT or other crypto but it is better to power up.

III). Steem Dollars: this is another reward token that you get only if you are an author and it is pegged 1:1 with the us dollar according to the with paper by holding a steem dollar you are lending the community the value of the dollar which encourages growth, it is transferable like steem but it is not in many exchanges like steem is so it is best to convert it to steem if you want to power up or use it outside of steemit.

Iv). Tron: you can earn trx token as a reward now because of steemit and tron are in an agreement, the price of trx is low now same with steem both of them not up to a dollar but they both have a great future, it can be used to exchange for other cryptocurrency and fiat currency.

Conclusion

Steemit is the first and fastest growing decentralized social media platform just like facebook at the beginning of centralized social media steemit is really looking promising as it is growing daily so i will want to be part of this community forever.
