What is PoB?

PoB means Proof of Brain. Great content and good quality of posts are needed in the steemit ecosystem. Hence Proof of Brain is integrated to reward these users on the content they've produced. This is because PoB gives the right acknowledgment to human efforts. A reward fund is structured into four divisions. These are:
Content creators and curators (65%) POB
• Witnesses (10%)
• SP holders (15%)
• Steem DAO (10%)

From the above divisions, 65% of the rewards are for PoB (Content creators and Curators). This is administered to support authors and also make their posts accessible to other steemians on the platform. The quality of content is based on posts that bring value to the ecosystem. Posts are also supposed to be plagiarism-free since this is prohibited on steemit. Upvotes are given to posts that have good content and plagiarism-free. A post that is plagiarised is given downvotes. Curation enforces Proof of Brain(PoB). Curators and content creators receive 65% of the reward pool.

What does curation mean to you in Steem Blockchain?
Performing curation means that we have to always take time and read the content of other users. Before curating any content, analyzing the content and making sure the post is original and free from plagiarism is important. The source of the content is checked if it is reliable. This content should add value to the steemit blockchain.

Giving a positive vote if everything is right or free from plagiarism and a negative vote if the content is not right or plagiarized.

The habit of re-steeming posts is also important as this allows other users to get the chance to read and benefit from the content.

Moreover, downvoting of spam or plagiarised content is also integrated into the steemit blockchain to ensure the good growth of the community.

What are the benefits of building SP?

1. Building steem power helps users to increase their influence in the community.
2. Building steem power helps to build a community since the more the steem power a user has, the more support he can give to its community members to encourage them to always participate and contribute.
3. Building steem power goes a long way to influence the distribution of Proof of Brain Rewards.
4. It gives an opportunity for greater voting power when curating content.
5. The proportion of TRX to SP is 1 SP= 1 TRX and vice versa, hence it creates the avenue to get more TRX with a greater value of SP. This is because of the integration of TRX to the steemit wallet as the reward is directly proportional to the size or value of the SP.
6. The more SP we have means our voting power will be more.

How do you explain self-upvote as a good or bad social behavior & why?

I see self-upvoting as bad social behavior. This is because:
The core concept of Steemit is to serve as a platform to reward creativity so when people power up and self-vote, it devalues the entire system.

Self-voting does not help build a community- self voting without giving support to other participants and users is harmful to the steem community.

Self-voting does not help integrate Proof of Brain- This is because PoB is judged by others and not our own.

Moreover, self voting does not create social cohesion- Steemit is supposed to be a united community hence this kind of selfish behavior that is self-vote is garbage.

Because of this, I pledge not to self-upvote my posts. I plan on sharing my votes with other participants to appreciate their efforts for great content.

What are the different tokens do you earn by socializing in Steem Blockchain?
Four different tokens can be earned by socializing in Steem Blockchain. These tokens are SP, SBD, STEEM, and TRX.

For authors,

SBD and SP can be gained by setting posts to 50% SP and 50% SBD.

SP can also be obtained by setting post to 100% Power Up.

An author can get STEEM and SP if the debt ratio is above 10% or SBD and SP if the debt ratio is below 9% (currently it is below 9%) or STEEM + SBD+ SP if the debt ratio is between 9% and 10%.

Curators receive curating rewards in the form of SP.

Also, with the integration of STEEM and TRX, authors can get STEEM and TRX on their posts. This is in the ratio TRX 1:1 SP.

Conclusion

I am thankful to @sapwood for this great lecture. Steemit is here for all of us. Hence, it is important to create good content which is plagiarism-free and of great benefit to the steemit ecosystem. The habit of self-vote is also a behavior that we have to abolish since it does not help the community.
