Steemit Crypto Academy Week 5 Task: Steem Blockchain (PoB, Voting Window, Curation) | Homework task for prof @sapwood

Hello steemians!

I hope everyone is doing great, this week when I was attending my cryptoacademy lectures from different professors and than doing homework is really hard it needs a lot of time, that's why i am doing my homework task for prof @sapwood very late but I hope to make it according to the task given to us by @sapwood.

LETS START HOMEWORK TASK OF WEEK #5

(1) What will happen if you vote before "5 mins age of a post" & after "6 days 12 hrs age of post" in Steem Blockchain? (Include your own experiences/Examples)

In steem blockchain there are various rules for voting and that is what makes it different from other platforms. In steemblockchain when you vote a post which is new and before the passage of 5 mins than some percent of the curation reward of that post will be cut and that reward percent will returned to the reward pool.
Here I have make this small chart to understand it easily..

Now we will come to what happens when you vote a post after 6 days and 12 hours after it is created, if you do so than the vote will go to depletion in these 12 hours no post payout will received and all the vote will go on to depletion till the post reach 7 days.

(2) How do I check how much reward of a post has returned to the reward pool in Steem Blockchain? Include screenshots (Hint- Steemworld.org)

We can check very easily that how much of the vote payout has returned to the reward pool and we can check with the help of steemworld when you login to steemworld it will give you each and every information regarding your posts, up votes, rewards and payout. What you have to do is go to the steemworld site and than check the side corner and you will find posts over there click on the posts and than select any post you want to check the reward returned of and here you will click summary of the post and than check the payout returned to reward pool simple is that.

(3) Under what circumstances a curator can earn more than 100% upvote value as curation rewards?

When you vote a post which has payout value zero before your vote and after you give vote its value become $1 it means that you the first voter of the post and in this case you will get 100% curation reward of that post after 7 days if the payout is same as 1$ than you will get 100% curation reward of that post.
It is very simple the fisrt you upvote the more curation reward you will get in return.

(4) Pick any random post you have voted in Steem Blockchain and indicate the time and position of your voting, what is the projected curation reward? (Include relevant Screenshots) (Hint- Steemworld.org)

I will give answer to this question by taking an exemplary post which i have upvoted and will tell you how i will find my voting position and voting time.
Firstly go to Steemworld.org/@janemorane (you will write your own user name here) than click on the Curation Rewards where you will see all the posts on which you have voted. Hit the Refresh Button and than select any random post and Click on the Show Votes Button and than a new window will appear and than you have to click on the voted after to check your vote time.

Now you can find the voting position and voting time of the voter under consideration.

(5) What is the role of curation in better content discovery in Steem Blockchain?

Voting a post simply means curation, in steem blockchain curation has a very big role in supporting quality posts. When someone create a quality post and than get some votes from the curators or other people the person get motivated and want to create more and more quality posts for this platform.
When someone supports a quality post and than resteem it for the sake if he finds it helpful than he has spread a very useful information in the form of a quality post and in this way curation has a great role in the discovery of quality content.

This was my homework task of week #5 for you professor @sapwood and thanks for the lectures professor.
