Today I am doing my Homework task of Crypto Academy Season 3 week#2, The Genesis Block. A very informative lecture by professor @ awesononso, I thank him for his great efforts on this lecture.

Q1. What is the Genesis Block of a Blockchain.

Genesis

Genesis the word used for the beginning or The Grass root of something.Genesis refers to the starting of something. 

Block

In real life blogs are used in building a house but in a blockchain block refers to a file of information which plays a role in making the blockchain,  many blocks combine and make a blockchain. 

Genesis Block of Blockchain

As we have non the definition of Genesis and block sofa blockchain Genesis block is the first-ever block of a blockchain and nothing exists before it and it is considered as the starting or beginning of the blockchain.

We all believe that everything has a beginning and history. The same is the case with blockchain; the first-ever block of every blockchain is known as the Genesis block.

The Genesis block is the the parent block and all the upcoming and new to forming blocks in the blockchain depends upon Genesis block and it somehow Give us the idea of the Other blocks that will be built after the Genesis block, Obviously other blocks are not similar to Genesis block but somehow they have similarities Because some of its hashes are are used in every new block in the blockchain. _Source

Q2. Write on the Bitcoin Genesis Block and its significance.

Bitcoin Genesis Block

The first ever block built in the Bitcoin blockchain is known as Bitcoin Genesis block. It was in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, a Bitcoin developer .
The Bitcoin Genesis block was the first implementation of proof of work blockchain and the beginning of a digital world or If I say a true decentralized world .
Bitcoin Genesis block is the founder of all the other bloks going to be mined in the Bitcoin blockchain system.

Significance of Bitcoin Genesis Block

• The Bitcoin Genesis block is considered as the most significant block because it is the founder of all the other blocks built on the blockchain system.

• All the other blocks which will be built on the blockchain are linked back to the bitcoin genesis block as they play a role of a founder of each and every block built on the blockchain.

• The Bitcoin Genesis block has its importance in opening doors for other blockchain systems and proving that the Bitcoin Genesis block opened up the door of the real decentralized world.

• Now here a new tab will appear asking you which number of block you want to explore, we will click on 'OK' because there is only Block 1 in Steem genesis block.

• Here the first block of Steem block will appear and all the information.

Conclusion

I have learned the basics of bitcoin block chain and how bitcoin Genesis block has changes the whole world by bringing up the meaning of a real decentralized world, and the begining of digital world was only possible due to the Bitcoin genesis block which has proven to be the founder of all the other blocks coming next.
