What is definition of blockchain? And how our data on Blockchain is protected from hackers?

Blockchain

After reading very keenly and trying to understand the lecture to my full capacity i came to know some of the main and important auspects of the blockchain technology .Now ,as per my understanding and knowledge , block is a box containing some information(the information may be related to any transaction, say information related to cryptocurrency transactions is maily stored in the blockchain thesedays) and when some blocks of information are connected together (one with many ,i.e branched),they form a chain, such an arrangement of blocks which are interconnected with one another is called as Blockchain.New block in a chain get generated when the previous one is full with data and thus blocks get connected in an organised and chronological order. So a blockchain may be defined as a branched chain of blocks containing data and where two components, the blocks and the chain form the basic structure of the arrangement.

How our data on Blockchain is protected from hackers?

The blockchain is highly secure file in which the data/information is saved on huge number of devices and every succeeding block is joined to the previous block .If someone tries to get access to the ledger and tries to tamper some of the block entries on any of the device used in the blockchain, the system automatically searches for the same block in different computers and as other computers will show the original block and the tempered one will get replaced by the original one .As every new block has a previous block hash code a hacker has to temper every succeeding block (about more than 50% of the data on the blockchain) for being successful as the data in the blockchain will get altered and the system will show the manupulated data as the original one ,which is an impossible thing to do as such because a hacker cannot get access to such a huge number of devices at the same time and cannot alter the data on majority of the blocks at the same time.By writing "to temper every succeeding block " I mean that a hacker has to edit every hash concerned with the blocks that lie after that tempered block which is an impossible task.So in this way our data on the blockchain is secured and hackers are very aware of it and thus do not give it a try .

Write details about Data,Hash and Previous Hash tag and explain through screenshot.

Data ,hash and previous hash are the components of a block .Now presenting some detail about these things

DATA

Every block possess some information/data coded on it .Taking example of some cryptocurrency transaction in which one person recieves some bitcoins from another say i recieve 5 bitcoins from my friend and the block will contain every useful information regarding this transaction and the data will be like.

  • Name of the sender
  • Amount that sender had at first
  • Amount transferred
  • Name of the reciever
  • Amount that the recieved had before tge transaction.
  • Cryptocurrency left with the sender after the transaction
  • Cryptocurrency left with the reciever after the transaction
  • Transaction date and time etc.

HASH

It can be defined as the fingerprint of a blockchain as no two humans in this world have same fingerprints ,same is the case with the blocks. The blocks are provided with unique numbers or id's called as Hash.No two blocks have same hash and thus show that they contain different information and thus show a different transaction.Hashes are interrelated as new hashes are produced keeping in view the previous ones or we can say that the previous hashes determine the new ones. Thus every hash represents a different transaction and we can find out any information regarding any transaction by entering the hash of that particular transaction.

PREVIOUS HASH TAG

The last thing to understand here is the Previous hash tag that is also the last thing in a block .If a block has some hash e.g 12 and the next successive block will be having its own hash 13 and also the previous hash i.e 12 scripted on it .It adds security to the block and helps to make the block more secure and safe from any attack.l for the sake of simplicity and understanding used a simple number to denote a hash of a block but in reality Hash is not as simple but is a very complex combination of alphabets and numbers.

conclusion

Blockchain is a very highly secure and safe mode of storing and transfering data without any threat of being stolen by hackers as it is impossible to tamper the data in a whole chain because whole of the data in a blockchain is interrelated.
Thank you @yousafharoonkhan for this wonderful ,a very elaborate and a very easy to understand lecture. This all was possible only because of your kind nature ,use of easy language and you being very enthusiastic about the subject teaching ... Thankyou a lot and love you sir .
Special thanks to @sapwood

Hello @jahangeerkhanday , I’m glad you participated in the 2nd Task of the Beginner’s class at the Steemit Crypto Academy. Your grades in this task are as follows:

CriteriaRatings
Presentation / Use of Markdowns0.5/2
Compliance with topic1/2
Spelling and Grammar0.5/2
Quality of Analysis0.5/2
Originality1/2
Total3.5/10

Recommendation / Feedback:

  • The student have completed the assignment for this lesson.
  • The student also answered all the questions in his/her own words.
  • Your overall presentation is not good. You need to improve your writing skills by working on your markdown styles.
  • There were some grammatical errors that can be avoided using Grammarly. So I suggest you use it in your preceding tasks.
  • Your explanation are too shallow and very difficult to understand your points. Please make effort to produce a quality content.

Thank you for submitting your homework. task 2. We hope to see the rest of your submissions.

Thank you sir @reminiscence01 for your feedback ,i am a bit disappointed because of not getting a good score for my work but i am very much dedicated to improve myself in the upcoming tasks. Please suggest me some markdown styles to be used to improve my lectures, that will be your most kindness.

I understand how disappointing it can be investing a good time and in return you didn't make good profit .

However, we are learning every day. I wish to refer you to a work of @bright-obias on markdownsLINK

From what I have learnt from #steemit, no particular markdown style is a must use but it's expedient and expected that one apply at least 4 and above different markdowns styles in your work. I am also learning. Also if you read the remark made by the professor @reminiscence01 you will discover that you also have other areas you seriously need to work. If you had performed excellently on other areas and you didn't score well on markdowns you would have also made a better presentation.

I suggest you take a better time to articulate your work on a rough book, edit it before posting.

Try this and I am sure it will marvel you at the next rating.
see you at the top sir

Wow I understand that language challenge my steemit mentor @dobartim had same language challenge but courage and persistence kept him and today he is very successful and is doing very well when it comes to reading and writing of English. Keep trying.
