Hello everyone how're you doing today. This week we learned about the NFT games and I'll be responding to the assignment given, below:

1.) Describe in your own words the main Advantages and Disadvantages (Pros and Cons) of NFT Games in relation to other types of games.

NFT has already reshaped our world as we know it. More and more are joining the NFT gaming industry. I'll be talking about the Advantages and Disadvantages of NFT games in this question

ADVANTAGES OF NFT GAMES

Ownership: you get complete ownership of your NFT game avatars and characters.

Security: There is huge security snd reliability in NFT gaming with no chances of hacking and malwares.

Income Generation: who doesn't want to earn money, and what better way of earning it while playing video games. NFT games give us these
oppurtunities.

Unique Characters: This is the feature that I love the most. Each NFT game character is unique to its users. The Uniqueness is provided through the VRF (verifiable random function) Algorithm

Graphics: as a gamer myself, ine if the things which are very important for me while gaming is Realistic Graphics. With the NFT gaming industry revolutionizing day by day, we see amazing graphics.

DISADVANTAGES

KEYS: Although some might take it as an advantage but in my opinion the private key, in case you lose it, you will lose all the NFTs that you have.

Costly: just like you might have seen in the playstore or any other console games that there is gaming fee in some games. NFT games has it in almost all the games.

Needs analysis: a normal gamer who does not know anything about the Blockchain will have a hard time playing these games, as they need knowledge regarding blockchain, wallets etc

Time Consuming: With you getting good money from the games, you might get addicted these NFT games as well

1- Friendship ended with Mudasir

One of my favorites nfts.

This is a famous Pakistani meme sold as nft for 20.00ETH. This was posted in 2015 by Muhammad Asif raza announcing his breakup with mudasir on his facebook profile.
The picture was photoshopped version of him cancelling out his pervious friend and shaking hands with his new best friend salman. This announcement soon became a meme over the years after receiving thousands of shares likes and comments. This viral piece was sold on 2nd august for $49,866.40

2- Twitter’s CEO first ever tweet

Jack Dorsey Twitter's CEO auctioned his first ever tweet as NFT on valueables owned by Cent. This tweet was made on march 20th in 2006 and was sold this year for 1630.58 ETH worth $2.9m

The tweet was bought by bridge oracle CEO Sina Estavi.
In march Dorsey announced that the money exchanged for this NFT would be distributed among Africans who were severely affected by covid.

4-kitty

‘Kitty’ was the first NFT sold by famous media personality Paris Hilton. It is a digital illustration of a cat named munchkin owned by her. Kitty was sold for 40ETH which was equivalent to $17,000 at the time of sale on cryptograghy. Cryptography is platform allowing people mainly celebrities to sell their artwork online to collect money for charities. Paris has sold many of her creations online and is supporting many underprivileged affected by this pandemic through cryptography.

5- Nyan cat gif

Nyan cat is a famous gif whose looks are inspired by old video games. It was created in April 2011.The gif consists of a blurred cat moving across the screen with a rainbow stream on a dark background.
The nft was owned by Chris Torres previously who set it up for auction after its tenth anniversary in 2021 February. The aution was hosted by Foundation. Bid on gif started from 3 ETH and was sold for 300ETH which equaled to $560,000 at that time.

The NFT gaming industry has given us some prolific games. I will talk about the one I found the most interesting.

Cryptoblade

Cryptoblade is a Blockchain based game which runs on the Binance Smart Chain and due to that it is way above any other games in the industry. It was launched in 2014 by Riveted Games. The owner of this game is Phillip Devine. Hammarling is the backend developer with Daniel Karsai and Kyle Kemp as the Blockchain and Frontend Developer respectively.

Cryptoblade has their own token which is known as Skill. We will talk about Skill in detail in this question.

Objective behind Cryptoblade

It is a Role-play game which you can have your unique characters and you can have realistic fights with monsters, you can create your own weapons and also trade in the marketplace

The players, in this game, are heavily rewarded with the Skill token. The rewarding solely depends on their consistency in the game and their gaming skills. To prevent any unfairness in the games, the gameplay has been created in such a way that thr interactions are limited to establish integrity of skills.

The Skill tokens that a gamer will earn can only be accessed by them, and the game developers have no control over them. You can earn Skill tokens by wiing battles and raiding.

How to Get The Skill Token

The skill token is still not listed on Binance or Poloniex but it is listed on Gate.io Bitcoinwell etc.

So I will visit gate.io website to trade the skill token.

CONCLUSION

The NFTs are the future. I mean it. Even in our country, Pakistan, which is somewhat backwards, NFTs are being sold in millions of dollars. It is an amazing oppurtunity to all the smart minded traders in how to capitalize in their assets

NFT gaming, is an excellent initiative which will provide hardcore gamers another niche to play on. I think it has a very bright future.
