Hello everyone. I am @hibbanoor. First of all i want to thanks to professor @sapwood for such informative lecturer which was so easy to absorb. I get many information from this lecture and now i am going to do my homework task.

(1) What is PoB? What does curation mean to you in Steem Blockchain? What are the benefits of building SP? How do you explain self-upvote as a good or bad social behavior & why? Steemit is a platform where the people are rewarded for creating the quality based content. This platform is decentralized, there is no central or middle men in this case. The authors create the contents by showing their skills, curators vote them according to their hard work. The vote is get in form of SBDs and Steem. The Steem and SBDs are transfer into your wallet after seven days. After seven days, you get your SBDs and Steems in your wallet and your post get expire.

Steemit is a platfrom where the users create the content. They show their skills and are rewarded by curators . For distribution of the reward to the author for their work, a mechanism is being used which is known as PoB. The concept of PoB is distributing the reward(in form of SBDs and Steems on steemit) among the authors for creating the quality based content. PoB is actually a mechanism of rewarding the authors for creating their content from reward pool.

The Author is rewarded if his work is quality based and 100% original. The rewards are distributed from reward pool. But if some user do plegiarism, he may be downvote. The reward is return to the reward pool in such way. Users create more quality based content because of use of PoB for getting reward. But the reward which is given to the author is distributed in following way.

How reward is distributed according to PoB

The 65% of total reward is given to the authors. Among that, the authors get the 50% in his wallet while other 50% is go to the curators for voting you. From remaining 235 percent, the 10% goes to witnesses, 10 % goes to Steem Dao and remaining 15% in vested SP.

The steemit is a platform where the users create the content. Content on any topic is warmly welcomed here. But only one thing is strictly prohibited which is plagiarism. But if the user's post is worth, the people vote that post. So voting the quality based post on steemit platfrom is known as Curation.

When i read the people's post, i check the quality of that post. Then i check the plagiarism. After analyzing it thoroughly, i vote that post. The users on steemit have ability to vote the others. Voting others does not only beneficial for content creator but also for curators too(the person who vote). The post get expire after seven days on steemit so after that even if you vote the post, it won't be beneficial. The more SP you have, the more heavy vote you can do.

The curation is necessary because it motivate the people to create more quality based content.

The building SP is actual a form of investing in steemit blockchain. By increasing our SP, we can motivate the other's quality based work by voting them as because of high SP, our vote worth will be high. It is a form of playing your role in developing the steemit platform. When we join the steemit, we have 15SP already which is allocated by the platform. With this much low SP, our vote does not have any worth. We are adviced to increase our SP by powering up our steems. It make us strong on steemit platform. Some others benefits of building SP are as follow.

• The more the SP, the more influencing person you will be. You become an important person of steemit with high SP. You can influence the community with your high Steem power.

• The more the SP, the higher the vote will be. You can get 10% of total interest bonus by increasing your steem power.
• It helps you to get more reward
• It enhance chance of getting the followers. When you vote the other's content, people start following you
• If you have high SP, then you can even donate it to new comers as they have very low SP.
• Building the SP shows that how sincere you are with this platform.
• Building the SP also help in getting interest on SPs which we have in our wallet.
• By building the Steem power, you are able to influence the giving the PoB rewards to the authors.

Steemit is decentralized platform where you upvote or downvote the other's content. You can even vote your own post. Self vote is bad and immature behavior according to my perpective. It does not impact on the reward. Such act won't be beneficial. The other people will vote him only after visiting, reading his post.

If they think the post is quality based and origional, they would vote it. So let the others decide how much our work deserve. We cannot judge our own work in a good way. We cannot criticize our own work. It is allowed on steemit platform to vote on your own post to some percent. But i don't take this act as good behavior because you cannot examine the quality of your own work. So reward you get by your own vote is not ethical.

You should create the quality posts and should get the votes from others. Use your voting power to vote other.

The steemit is a decentralized platform where the user create content and earn reward. The reward is recieved in form of Steem dollars(SBDs), Steems and TRX.


Steem dollar

The author is rewarded by the curators in steem dollars(SBDs). The steem dollar cannot be withdraw directly, so firstly we need to convert the SBDs into steem. The steems are then can be withdraw in your local currency. You can also use the steems to power up your SP. You can transfer SBDs to any other user.

Steem

Steem is the coin of steemit. I steem is equal to 1 dollar. You are also rewarded in steems sometime. You can transfer your Steem to any other user.

TRX

When you open your wallet, you see TRX in your account. TRX is the coin of Tron network. On steemit you get the tron coin with ratio of SP. 1SP:1TRX.
