How do you secure/store your key? What are the different forms of private keys (example/screenshots)? Download & install Tronlink wallet (android/ios/extension). How do you store the key (Hint- write it down on a notepad, demonstrate it with examples)? Which form of the key are you comfortable with to handle your tronlink wallet? Include screenshots and hide/blur sensitive information.

What is a wallet?

In today world, the privacy of the data is very important because everything is going online like our bank transactions, bill payments, etc. due to this bigger change we must have to protect our data either in the form of pictures, documents, and files, etc. but here we will discuss the crypto wallets so, what are the wallets? the wallet is an application that you download into your mobile or PC and store your funds in it. it helps us to store our digital assets. if you want to save your wallet so, first of all, you need to note down its key phrases. these key phrases are the heart of your wallet.

How do you secure/store your key?

As I mentioned above, the cryptocurrency wallet is based on keys. so, it means the keys play a vital role to secure your wallet. there are various ways to secure your keys. it depends on you what type of method of securing keys you will choose. here are some methods which I was noticed that it helps us to my reader to secure his/her wallet.

To store In Drive:

The very first and common method is to secure a wallet is you need to open your text editor(notepad editor) and cut-paste your keys into it. note that you don't relay fully in your flash drive some times the flash drive is stolen. so you lose your keys.

Note down in Notebook:

The second method of securing your wallet keys is you note it down these keys into your personal diary or notebook. this is a very handy and strongest way to secure the keys of a wallet.

Memorize it:

The third method is to memorize the keys of your wallet but I don't think this is a good way to secure your keys. the reason is that because we have multiple social media accounts this account is also secured by passwords if you memorize all passwords. so, I am sure that you forget your keys.

What are the different forms of private keys (example/screenshots)?

The word private keys, if you noticed that word. it says what it means. it means it has access to your wallet in which your digital assets are stored. so, there are different forms of private keys. here I will discuss one by one:

Private Key:

Basically, the private is the combination of the alphanumeric character. In these characters, you have multiple numbers, alphabets(small and large). this key is created with the help of a cryptographic function. we all know that the cryptographic functions are fully encrypted and secure by blockchain technology.

Mnemonic Key:

This key is another form of securing the wallet. basically, this key is made up of BIP-32 and BIP-39 specifications. generally, this key is human readable. and it has 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 words long. this key plays an important role to log in to your wallet.

Keystore File:

And at last the Keystore file. it is also a very important private key that gives you the authority to access the wallet. this key exists in JSON file(Javascript Object Notation). and this key is very complicated. here is the picture that you will understand better:

Download and Install TronLink Wallet (Android/iOS/Extension)?

Here are the following steps that you need to follow to create the TRON link wallet.

Step # 01:

Open the Playstore and type the TRON Link. so, you will see this type of image:

Step # 02:

After type the TRON LINK you will see this type of interface. click on the download button.

To store the keys first you need to create the TRON LINK account. so, here is the steps of account creation:

Step # 01:

Open the app. you will see the options create account and import account so, you will go to create account option and click on it:

Step # 02:

In this step, you need to set up your account password and your id name. the password must be the same because the requirements of the passwords are clearly mentioned. see in the images:

Step # 03:

In this step, you need to store your keys which is very important. so in my case, I have noted it down in my notebook. because in my view it is the handiest way to store and secure my wallet.

Which form of the key are you comfortable with to handle your tronlink wallet?

I like the mnemonic keys because as I mentioned above it is made up of easy words which are reminded easily. so it is very comfortable for me. another reason for likeness the mnemonic it is only 12 to 15 words and these words are used in our daily life. so, I think this is a comfortable way for me.

Conclusion:

today, I have learned the importance of private keys and their type. and after reading or writing this article I know whats the importance of keys to secure our crypto assets. In the end, I am very thankful to prof. @sapwood. that provide us information about the keys.
