INTRODUCTION

It has been an amazing week 7 and as usual, my students always enjoy themselves creating the homework/task just like I enjoy myself reading through every one of them. This week, a total of 183 tasks was submitted and every user did their best. I hope to see them do more in subsequent classes.

General Observation, Guidance, and Reactions

Since the beginning of the class, we have been battling a few things which include Plagiarism, Spinning, Spamming, Proper referencing, grammatical spellings, Omissions, and Lenght of Content.

Plagiarism and Spinning

Over the week, I have seen a swift improvement with my students in term of creating original contents and reducing plagiarism, but while so many are working hard towards creating Original and Quality contents, some people have learned the habit of spinning other posts to change adjectives which now make the post less meaningful to the reader. Spinning is completely intellectual theft and can be caught easily since the writing will be less meaningful and appealing to the eye.

Writing an Original and Quality post isn't a 7 unit course and doesn't require earning a degree in writing, you just need to understand the topic, go through one or two posts if available, Understand the materials which are being used as references, create personal experience on the topic if you have any, Write like you want to explain to a layman and not complicate things (Your reader actually doesn't have an idea on the topic and seeks insight by reading your post). After writing, you could use certain free plagiarism checkers such as smallseotools.com to check if your post is good. These tools aren't often accurate since they're free tools but they will help put you in check before posting.

Proper Referencing

When contents aren't yours, it is important that you reference the author or publication where the content was gotten from. If you are picking content from another source, it shouldn't take above 10% of your post, and those content should be quoted and properly sourced. Not referencing pictures or writings gotten from another source means you are claiming ownership of the content which would be referred to as intellectual theft. Please let us endeavor to reference all borrowed contents properly.

Grammatical spellings, Omissions and Lenght of Post

We are all not perfect writers, and not all of us are from English-speaking countries but then we can reduce our grammatical errors and omissions on posts. To do this, you just need to download a writing assistant (eg. Grammarly) to help correct your writings as you write. These assistants check for punctuations, grammatical strength, spellings, omissions. and errors. Using this will be useful a lot as it makes up the criteria for rating a post.

Short posts of less than 300 words will certainly not get reviewed as the minimum number of words when creating your post is 300 words and anything less than that wouldn't hold water when reviewing. A longer and comprehensive post on the topic will give a better chance for a high rating.

Three Interesting Homework Posts You should Checkout

As Usual, I will be selecting three posts I find intriguing. I must confess that all students did great but I can only select three posts from the numerous posts available. Here are the three posts that made it to my top 3 post for week 7;

1

Homework task week 7 by professor @gbenga submitted by @ngoenyi - @ngoenyi

ngoeyi.png

All that one needs to take part in this oasis is just your Etherium wallet like HB wallets and this makes oasis very easy and accessible to any user. Users can borrow against oasis using Dai. And it is decentralized, non-custodial, and available to all users with or without an account. It is free to use but only Gas and other associated fees that has to do with the Maker protocol are required- @ngoenyi

I got a lot of assignment discussing Uniswap but looking through several posts, I could pick the post by @ngoenyi which discussed Oasis, a Defi Protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain which allows users to trade, borrow, and save. You should read through @ngoenyi's post.

2

Uniswap; A decentralized finance ecosystem, week 7 homework task by @gbenga. - @ireti

Uniswap is a decentralized exchange that trades over 400 active trading pairs of ERC-20 tokens. The exchange has 6000 liquidity pools for different pairs an impressive milestone for a project that started in 2018, by Hayden Adam. - @ireti

Uniswap, Dex, AMM, and more, you can read through this post to understand what these words mean and how Uniswap (a decentralized exchange) works.

3

Crypto Academy Week 7 - Homework Post for [@gbenga]. Introduction to Defi and Yield Farming. - @allbert

aave.jpg

Aave is kind of an online bank, not in its full expression of the word. But rather in the realm of being able to access cryptocurrency loans under a decentralized protocol, with the possibility of you being the lender and generating interest. All this on a platform that works through the smart contracts of the Ethereum network. - @allbert

This post is one post that I must confess is well detailed. Explaining Defi, Etherum, Aave and how it functions in lending out cryptocurrency.
