Crypto Academy Week 5 Homework Post for [@yohan2on]
The Coinbase mobile wallet for iOS and Android allows you to access your Coinbase account to send, receive, buy, and sell bitcoin. Mobile wallets are almost always "light" clients in that they do not store a full copy of the blockchain.Source
I'm going to Select Coinbase wallet, which has both the web and mobile platforms. Any can be used to manage the assets held in the wallet. For anyone to use this platform, you need to be a holder of an account on the platform. My experiences so far are on the web form. You will not find any difference with the mobile app. Apart from the fact that icon positions are found at the bottom.
- Lunch the website by clicking this link Coinbase.
Screenshot web-base: Home page
On the home page as you can see from the screenshot above. You have to options at the top right-hand angle of the screen. Sign in if you already have an account or Get started to create your account. Clinking the Get start will load the signup page.

- Desire password
- Confirm you are 18+ years
An email will be sent for verification. (Email used to create the account)
Check email and confirm the registration process. Now you are legible to use the sign-in button.
NB: Phone number important aspect for verification.
- Clicking on Sign in

You are required to put in an email and password.
Screenshot web-base: 2-Step Verification
See this screen is because I'm using a 2-Step Verification. A code is been sent to me as an SMS.

Finally login in, As a new member, you will not have a watchlist. I get to hint on how to add a watchlist. This is just a follow-up on the situation of asserts I'm interested in.
One thing I notice When you create an account. You auto have a default BTC address. From other classes, we learn about wallet holding more than one asset. Coinbase happens to be one, and I will show you how to add assets.
Coinbase mobile app, you will find the setting icon at the right button while you will have to click at the top right. That where you see your name(Fomba)
* Moving to sttting*
A small window will drop down, and you see the setting link. Clicking this will load the page below.
Account limit
On creating an account on Coinbase, you are limited pending level 2 verification. Until your account is level 2 verified, then you are enabled to send, receive, sell, and but currency.
I talk about adding other assets, clicking on the Crypto addresses
Screenshot web-base: Crypto address
To add assets, click the drop-down (all assets) and select the asset you want to add to your Coinbase wallet.

Screenshot web-base: buy/sell
Buy or sell on Coinbase, that means you are moving token from one asset to the other. For the example above, I'm trying to sell BTC to have ETH.
Screenshot web-base: Send
Back to our dashboard, on the left land side of the screen. The third icon below the Coinbase logo. We have the prices.
Screenshot web-base: Prices(09/03/2021)
This page gives the later prices update on a 24-hour range. I have the date attach because the prices may change. This change depends on the market cap of the day. This is the page where you can set a watchlist. Yellow start means that has been set.
Ending the little so far I know about this platform, is the for you page. It the next icon below the price icon.
Screenshot web-base:for you
Here is the part where you can get updates about the platform. Earn coins by learning about other coins. I'm hoping to put more interest on this platform and will sometimes make another post. I know I have not exploited every angle.

Hi @fombae
Thanks for attending the 4th-week crypto course and for your effort in doing the homework task.
Feedback
Yes, there was still more that needed to be shared about in your article. For example how can one use the coinbase wallet to interact with the DeFi protocols(compound, Uniswap, MakerDao, Synthetix). Since coinbase is one of the DeFi wallet. I wanted you to try and tailor your tutorial to the DeFi ecosystem.
For example at the point where you said about adding assets on coinbase, you would have added some of the DeFi coins such as COMP token, Uni, SNX.
Otherwise, this is still good work.
