STEEM & TRON - Steemit Crypto Academy Season 4 - Homework Post for Task 2.

How would you use your TRX earned in Steem Blockchain to optimize earning in Tron ecosystem?

Thank you, Prof. @sapwood for the wonderful lectures and Prof. @nane15 for marking my task 1 post. Enrolling into Steemit Crypto Academy was frightening, but your analysis and encouragement in my first post has given me much joy and hope to continue. I bring to you today task 2 of my homework post on STEEM AND TRON. In this homework, I will be answering question one. I hope to do my utmost best in providing the needed answers backed with examples and screenshots where necessary.

Proof of Brain is also called a content creator or a content curator. It is the ability of a Steemian to use his brain to create content on a Blockchain such as Steemit. When this is done rightly, it enables the Steemian to benefit from the 65% minted tokens called the Reward Pool.

The same abilities a Steemian has also enables him to distribute (upvote) or redistribute (downvote) rewards from the Reward Pool based on how he judges the content. If in his wisdom he judges the content as good-quality content, he rewards it with an upvote if not, he either decides to downvote or let the post be.

The process of creating content, to curating and deciding on the worthiness of a publication is known as PoB.

I personally understand curation in Steemit Blockchain to be the ability of a content curator to read, and to judge content in a post by checking whether it is a good or a bad post. That is to say, if the post is plagiarized, if the sources are highlighted, if the content contains SPAM or it is harmful.

When the Steemian judged the content as good, he has the right to reward it by distributing minted tokens from the Reward Pool in a process called upvoting. All good content in Steemit Blockchain also receives the appreciation of curators.

If, in his assessment, a curator judged the content as bad content, he simply redistribute the tokens in the process called downvoting.

Plagiarism or SPAM is prohibited on Steemit. Steemian's need to watch out for this. Rewards from good content created are usually very nice and enjoyable. Steemian's can create plagiarism free content and earn great rewards from curators by creating posts on subjects they know best.

The benefits of building SP are enormous. When you invest in Steem Power, it benefits you in two ways:¹

Direct benefits

• In curating, you benefits from the 32.5% of the total reward pool allocated for curation.
• You earn 15% interest of the total reward pool because of your Power Up.
• Since SP is directly proportional to TRX, you earn an equal amount of TRX as your SP earnings.

Indirect benefits

• You actively participate in governing Steemit
• You can delegate Steem Power to enable a Steemit community to grow.
• Steem Power increases your influencing power
  and draws more followers to your blog.

Knowing the enormous benefits of building SP, my personal commitment has been to Power Up 100% of my liquid earnings. Now that the Steemit Team is encouraging building SP through #club5050 I think it is necessary that all Steemians invest in building SP now.

At first, I was so eager to earn Upvotes and since they were not coming as expected, I would vote myself. But going through this course, I realized that:

• Self-upvote is a bad social behavior. This is because it undermines the PoB mechanism on which Steemit is built upon. The social interaction aspect which is usually backed by upvote or downvote is defected among Steemit users.
• Self-upvote promotes unjustified distribution of reward to content since no room is given for feedback from the community.
• Self-upvote appears pleasing, but it subjects content to the lower zone in the Blockchain reward algorithm because individual curators haven't voted on content.

Below are the steps I used in exploring coinmarket.con get the rank, STEEM price, and coinmarketcap of STEEM.

• I clicked the search icon at the top right corner of the page. Then I typed search in the displayed window. A list showed up, consisting of STEEM and SBD, then I clicked on STEEM as seen below

After using Steemit for about about a month two weeks now, I know of four different tokens earned as a result of social blogging and curating. There are

This is the tradeable token of the Steemit Blockchain. As part of the reward pool, it's being used to reward content creators either as they participate in a contest organized by another Steemian or Steemit community.

All other currencies on steemit have their value from Steem. It is a token that can be bought or sold, it can be transferred anywhere at anytime. It can also be converted to STEEM POWER in a process called powering up.²

2. STEEM POWER

Steem Power (SP) is the influencing token of the Steemit Blockchain. The more SP a user has, the more he can influence the economy. Steemian's with higher SP affect the way rewards are distributed or redistributed from the Reward Pool.

Socializing in Steemit enables a Steemian to earn SP in the following ways.

• Creating and curating post
• Steem Power Up
• Selling fiat
• Contributing computer power to the Steemit Blockchain.

3. Steem Backed Dollar (SBD)

Steem Backed Dollars is a token given to content creators and curators as rewards. It is rewarded in accordance with the PoB.

Steemian's earn SBD by claiming content is matured.

4. TRON

TRON is the currency of the Tron Ecosystem. Because Justin Sun joined the Steemit Blockchain, steemian's can now earn TRON as a token in creating content in Steemit.

To optimize earnings in the TRON ecosystem, I just need to create an account using TronLink Wallet through the extension, then start bidding in the market to earn more TRX for myself.

As of now, I have an account with TronLink Wallet, but accessing it with my phone is very challenging. When I buy my laptop, I will fully engage in cryptocurrency using Tron tokens earned in Steemit.

Going through this course and answering the above questions have boosted my knowledge of Steem and Tron Ecosystems and I believe by submitting this assignment for verification, I will engage the knowledge gotten here in a more productive way as I daily Steem on.
