Prior to use a TRON wallet, it's notable that :

  • The wallets are developed, promoted and contributed by the team. TRON official website only display options for us to choose.

  • In case, we face any problem, we may contact community developers for solution through the link of the wallet.

  • Moreover, It is our responsibility to choose a TRON wallet with pre-caution and to take proper action to protect our TRON.

How can we find TRON wallet?

It is very easy to find. We can easily find it by going to Play Store or App Store. Both versions (Android & IOS) are available. Just, go to store and search "TronLink Wallet". Now press the install button. There is an app link from where we can download https://www.tronlink.org/

Let's see how to import our private key in the wallet after installation the app.

Step-2 : is to paste the Tron private key

Step-4 : is to create a passward with a capital letter (uppercase), a number, small letter (lowercase) & so on.

The Keys are as follows :

  • Private Key
  • Mnemonic Key (May be called pip passward)
  • Keystore File

How do I restore a wallet using private key/mnemonic key or How much important it is?

  • Once we lose these keys, it will not be possible to restore a wallet in any way. Losing these means losing all the assets. These keys will definitely be needed during the restoration process.

How do I secure or manage the keys?

All the keys ( private active key, mnemonic key, keystore file) are related with each other. Mnemonic key is one type of private key but it doesn't work lonely. If we do not store these properly, we will face many problems in the future. I prefer offline keeping than online keeping. For example, if we save to a Gmail account or messenger account, Id may be hacked or intentionally may be reported the account by someone. That's why I wrote down all my passwords in a diary.

How to backup private key or keystore?

  • It will be very easy to back up if you can remember your own set passward. Just click on the "Backup Private Key/Keystore" you are required to fill up your passward. Set a password that will be strong but easy to remember.

    Thank you for submitting homework task-2 in Crypto-Academy.

    All the keys ( private active key, mnemonic key, keystore file) are related with each other. Mnemonic key is one type of private key but it doesn't work lonely.     The mnemonic key is a simplified version of the private key which are generally 12 words phrases (15, 18, 21, 24 words also). When you save your Mnemonic key, pay attention to the correct sequence of words, the correct sequence can only unlock your wallet.

    A Keystore file is a JSON file, an encrypted from of private key, however, it is not a private key alone. When you recover your wallet using the Keystore File it will ask you to enter the password(set by you in the previous installation).

    Keystore File+Password(set by you) ~ Private Key

    If you want to recover your old wallet using Mnemonic key/Private key, you don't need a password to unlock it. That's the difference between the "Mnemonic/Private Key" & "Keystore file".
