HOW DO YOU STORE /SECURE YOUR KEYS?
People do have various ways when it comes to the storage of keys. On my own path, I prefer the offline method of storing keys. Why do I prefer this?
I prefer storing my keys offline because nothing on the internet is ever really safe from modern day hacking and cyber theft. So, I store my keys in the following ways.
writing them on a sheet of paper and keeping it in a secure place at home. Also, I go extra miles by storing them on my hard disk drive. With my laptop, I create a file where I type the keys stating their purpose too. For keys like the mnemonic key, I memorize them so I can easily remember when needed.
What are the different forms of Private Key (Examples / Screenshot)?
Forms of private keys are:
*Private Key(A string of alphanumeric characters)
*Mnemonic key(Seed)
*Keystore file(JSON File)
• Private Keys : The private keys consists of alphabets and number in such a way that no one would have the same private key with another. Although many people love memorizing their password or keys, this particular key can be very difficult to memorize due to it being made using Cryptography and has a mixture of alphabets and numbers. I.e, all the steemit keys are in cryptography.
The picture above is an example and through it, we can see what a private key looks like. It functions when sending and also spending your cryptocurrencies for guaranteed safekeeping.
• Mnemonic Keys: They are popular mostly among the users of trust wallet, tron link pro and token pocket. They could be said to be a string of words which are needed in the right arrangement for data assessment. They can also be used to reset the password, restore the wallet e.t.c. For example,
Memorizing this particular type of private key is far easier than the former. The mnemonic phrase ranges from 12 words and above. They also need to be arranged in the right order to work.
• Keystore file also known as JSON File: This form of private key although is not as popular as the others, it is an encrypted form of the private key. It is impossible to remember as it consists of words, numbers, symbols and it also doesn't serve as a private key till a password for the wallet is created before backing up to JSON file. To derive the private key in this case, we would have to combine the password you set and the keystore file. For example,

Firstly, you go to (https://www.tronlink.org/) but, since I use an android device who already
has the app, I just simply go to google play store and search for the app.

The image above is an example of the keys. Writing them down and memorizing them in order to familiarize myself with them completely. Being just 12 words makes it easier to comprehend and after memorizing them, I return the note to the secured place I won't forget

In conclusion, I have come to the end of this task which had exposed me to another adventure and taught not only me, but also a reader out there like me a couple of new things. In all we do we should endeavor to keep our keys safe.
