Introduction to Non - Fungible Tokens

Non-fungible token is a unique, non interchangeable and non tangible digital code recorded on blockchain. NFT is not in itself a cryptocurrency but can be sold for a cryptocurrency. NFTs represents some unqiue and or rare digital files like art work , sports , entertainment, photo, vedio and audio etc. Important point to understand is that, purchasing NFT does not entitle you to copy right privileges of the item , however it gives you ownership rights. Being unique it is traceable on the blockchain to the owner.

Advantages of NFT games

• They incentivise the users and therefore value their time which they spent playing.

• Players become absolute owners of the NFTs .

• NFTs can be modified to make them more profitable.

• Some games like cryptokitties promote generation of new tokens from the existing tokens that add further value .

• They promote cognitive skills on top of other pros.

• NFT based games are more secure than traditional ones as former run on blockchain which is a secure and suitable platform for the same.

Disadvantages

• They are addictive as they involve incentives along with the kick of adventure.

• As NFTs are financial entities therefore to start playing a game we need to have some bucks to enter unlike most of traditional games.

• A Player need to have ample knowledge of NFTs, blockchain, wallets and exchanges.

• Price of NFTs is sentiment driven which is not good for NFT holder.

• The non repudiabe nature and decentralisation related issues like safeguarding of keys is an add on responsibility for players.

• Duplication is possible and may disrupt the sanctity of game.

Michael Joseph Winkelmann is an American digital artist who has revolutionised the field of art, graphic designing , satire and animation . He is profesionally known as Beeple. His work has touched diverse fileds of life like comic, polity, horror etc. He is so much dedicated towards his work that he has started a mission of creating art work everyday back in 2007 and in March 2021, he released his work by name ot "Everyday - the firet 5000 days " in 105 editions that was sold as NFT for $69,400,000. Some of his works have been included in Louis vulton's ( French
fashion company ) collection of goods.

One more NFT of Beeple worth mentioning goes by the name of " crossroad " . It has 2 animations, one was sold in 2020 for $69,400,000 and second in 2021 for $6.7 M. It is related to US presidential elections.

Introduction.

Cryptoblades is a web based NFT driven role playing game where players are rewarded with native tokens of the game and that is SKILL. It was launched in 2014 with vision of providing a source of income along with entertainment by very famous company dedicated to the development of games that goes by the name of Riveted Games and the team of developers are professional technocrats like , Lip Devine (US), Daniel Karsai (Hungery) , Raymond (Swedeen) Hammarling ( US).

Operation of game.

Cryptoblades is a role playing game where players have to defeat their enemies in battlefields and rise up in levels. Players are empowered by different military weapons. Depending upon the speciality of the weapons, their value ( NFT) is set. These weapons can be bought or sold in market place. Players are subjected to different levels with changing battlefields. To begin with, starting from a plaza where players have one weapon with them . They move to earth. After neutralizing enemies on earth, it is trumped by water, lightening and fire.

Players mint their first character in plaza for 4.6 SKILL and is free to choose four characters at any particular time each of which costs 4.6 SKILL. Each character cannbe assigned to fight a particular enemy after checking the features of enemy. To begin with, a player has a Stamina of 200 and during each level 40 Stamina is consumed. So 200 is enough for five levels. Stamina regenerates at a rate of 1 every 5 minutes. Once a player defeat his assigned enemy, he is awarded SKILL and experiance. But the awarded experience is not applied to the characcter. It is just accumulated and to apply it to the character, it has to be claimed by paying the nominal fee in the form of BNB. In case of defeat, nothing is awarded.

We need to have wallet like Metamask. I already have an account on Metamask. Go to Metamask and log in.

• On the main page, click on top left corner, a drop down menu with many option will be seen and then click on the Browser . It will open default browser where we will search for "CryptoBlades.

• We will be landing into the main interface of the game.

• Click on top right corner amd then click on the CryptoBlades Game .

• Next we need to Connect our Metamask wallet to the CryptoBlades game .

• Click on the connect Metamask button and we are connected.

• Click on the option "TOTAL BALANCE" to add SKILL.

• To attain SKILL, we need to swap BNB to SKILL . A minimum of 4.6SKILL is needed to start up minting characters. Once account is funded, we can start playing it.

• As i haven't enough funds in my wallet, so i couldn't continue further.

With the boom in digital currencies following release of parent coin (BTC) , new tokens like NFTs have evolved and rapidly gained popularity because of association of NFTs to diverse practical aspects of life like gaming, entertainment, art work , sports, audio files, vedio files etc. BTC or altcoins although laid foundation of digital economics but they remained restricted to financial sector only. On the contrary, NFTs were able to relate to many practicalities of life and therefore gained more popularity and involved people from different walks of life.
