Wallet details will be loaded and scroll down to find public adress. Alongside of address, there is option to see, copy and download. Click on download icon and we will see "Export private key " Option. To visualise the key, click on display and save it offline safely. Remember, not your keys, not your funds.

How secure is Localcryptos as a non-custodial P2P Market? How does escrow protection safeguard both buyers and sellers?

I would say a localcryptos noncustodial P2P market is completely secure because it is completely decentralized and absolute control of the assets is vested by the user.

Escrow protection is not something unique to local cryptos, it does exist on other platforms like Binance and Huobi but there is a great difference between those platforms and localcryptos . The escrow protection in localcryptos is onchain and smart contract based. Here traders do not need to trust each other or any third party , rather they have to trust the smart contract.

Let me mention few points which will emphasize how escrow protection safeguard both buyers and sellers.

Escrow for buyers.

  • Before making payment to the seller, a seller has to move the funds to the smart contract.

  • Only a buyer can cancel the trade.

  • Buyer can raise the issue in case of any dispute for arbitrator to step in and solve.

Escrow for seller.

  • Trade cancels automatically, if buyer fails to make payment within specified time period.

  • Funds are released only after payment confirmation.

  • Can raise the issue for arbitrator to step in and solve the problem.

Create an offer as Market Maker or Perform a real trade as Market Taker to demonstrate your real experience of non-custodial P2P trade(Crypto-Fiat)? (Hint- Trading DASH or LTC is cost-effective in terms of transaction and escrow fees)? How much fee in total did you incur in the entire process, if any? (Screenshots Needed)

Let me try to perform a trade as market taker and try to buy LTC. For doing so, from the main page of localcryptos, click on top right corner, a drop down menu will appear. From the menu, select "offer ", than on next page , click "create an offer". An offer is completed in 3 steps.
  • Offer category.
  • Payment details.
  • Ad details.

Srep 2: Payment details.

For step 2 , in payment methods, i selected UPI and in rate i choose "Dynamic market price". We can choose multiple payment options but certain options are restricted for mew users. They open only after making certain specified transaction limit like PayPal after exchanging 1500. Also for offering rate, one more option is available and that is "custom equation".

Select percentage margin and market. I selected 2% below and Binamce market. Click on continue to step 3

Step 3 : Ad details

For step 3 , we need to type a headline, terms of trade, local time zone, time period available for trade, minimum and maximum trade size, and peer condition like trading with users with or without verified phone number and location revealed or not. After setting these conditions as per your preference, click on "Post offer" And you are done.

That's all from myside this week.

My aincere request to professor @sapwood is to decrease the length of homework tasks because your tasks are more laborious than collective 3 to 4 other tasks. Undoubtedly they promote learning at same scale but effort/reward ratio is high. It is just a sincere request.

Thanks
