(1) What Is Cryptocurrency and How You Would Like To See Cryptocurrency In The Feature?

Introduction

It is another great moment in the #SteemitCryptoAcademy community. In a summary in the introduction, I will be writing about crypto currencies and pointing out specifically the Bitcoin. Also I will be citing Public Chain, giving major advantage on its usage.

WHAT IS CRYPTOCURRENCY?

I will begin by defining crypto currency in simple terms before moving to advance terms. A Crypto currency is a digital currency which can not be held physically, but exist in digital form, which is being transfered from one acccount to another.
Now in greater terms and more vivid explanation, a Crypto Currency is a Digital Currency in which it is maintained and verified using a decentralzed system such as cryptography and it is not controlled by central authority.

• Etherium (etr)
• Tether (usdt)
• Dogecoin (doge)
• Ripple (xrp)
• SteemBlockchainDollar (sbd)
• Monero (mnr)

Characteristics of Crypto Currencies

• It is a form of payment which is most often used in the payment of goods and services online.
• it works on the blockchain technology.

Is crypto currency good for a business to accept as payment?

With the major disadvantage of crypto being the fact of scability, and amongst the numerous advantages posed with the utility of crypto curreency, I will say cryptocurrency is really good for Businesses to accept for payment for the folowing reasons:

• Crypto can be converted to fiat currency or better still to cash on various exchanges such as #coingecko, #Binance, #Poloniex amongst others.
• There is a high level of security and fraud in the usage of crptocurrencies as methods of payments.
• Most crypto currencies such as Bticoin and Dogecoin can be termed as privacy coins which which makes its purchases discrete. I this light, purchases are private unless transactions are published.
• There is low transactiion fee in the usage of crypto currencies when compared with normal banks transactions.
• With an internet access, transactions can be carried out at any time and any where.
• With the readily availability of crypto currencies, this makes it a very good reason why it should be used as payments in businesses.

With all this Pros of Cryptocurrencies, it makes it a good reason for the usage and to be accepted as payments in businesses.
An example: Bitcoin:
It is very unfortunate that most people did not purchase bitcoin at the beginning despite solely because of fear. It began with a value of $0.3 and rise to $5.2 for that year.
At the time of thsi post, thee prices of bitcoin is $32, 142.00 with a market cap of $640,563,376,909 and ranked first in the market having a dorminance of over 40% in the market.

How will you like to see crytocurrencies in the future.

With all the various advantages of crpto currencies, there are still some major drawbacks which if solved will really bring cryptocurrencies to higher heights in the future.

• With the high volatility of Cryptocurrencies, I will like to see the value of cryptcurrencies skyrocket and increase in value in the nearest future.
• With the current environmental crises being faced in the mining of crypto currencies, I will say I will like the mining ecosystem to be shifted to cleaner and greener mining in the future.
• in terms of security, I will also like to see a advanced cybersecurity program being launched coppled with the numerous hacker and fraudsters out there.

Conclusion

With all this, especially the evolution of crypto, we can see evidently here that it has been of more help. It is also true and funny how simple tweets from huge financial organitions such as Elon Musk, can influence the prices of crypto in a significant way, such as the recent tweet on environmental concerns on bitcoin mining.
