XRP is a cryptocurrency that runs on its own Blockchain system, namely the Ripple Blockchain. Unlike other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, XRP cannot be mined. This is because, since the initial release of the XRP coin, it was not intended to be mined, but it was distributed to various financial institutions and exchanges in the world.

The purpose of the creation of XRP is as a tool to be used for payments on the Ripple Blockchain network. XRP itself was created to overcome various problems in large-scale financial transactions, as we know that it will be very difficult for us to send money to other countries because it will take a long time and have expensive transaction costs. So with this problem, Ripple issued a solution, namely sending money digitally using the Blockchain system which does not take a long time at the same time with cheap transaction fees.

My first introduction to XRP was when I made cryptocurrency transactions on exchanges. To send cryptocurrency to other exchangers, I used to use Bitcoin as a transactional tool. At first, I was just ignorant of all the things that were the burden of the transaction, but gradually I felt that the money I received on the other exchange was much less than what I sent at first and the sending process was also too long and even took more than 30 minutes. Here I began to feel uncomfortable when making transactions with Bitcoin.

Then I looked for information about cryptocurrency transactions on the internet, and I got information that the transaction fees charged to XRP coins are much cheaper than Bitcoin, then I immediately tried it and it's true that the money I received on the other exchange is not much different compared to Bitcoin. with the one I sent. Since this time, I often use XRP as a means of sending cryptocurrency between exchanges.
