Have you ever used any Multichain wallet(Non-custodial)?
I find it amusing that just about 10hours ago, I was reading news on crypto at Crypto News when I came across a post titled "Top Crypto Airdrops You Should Look Out for in March 2021" by Coindoo when I got know about Trust Wallet.
How many different coins(of different Blockchains) does it support?
I counted exactly 54 different blockchains in the Trust Wallet. The various coins available are displayed below
How do I back up the seed key(Mnemonic key) and/or the individual private keys of different coins in a Multichain wallet
Multichain wallets present you with the seed key. Some multichain wallets present both seed and private keys of every coin.
- It is relevant to back up your seed key and/or individual private keys offline.
- Pen them down in your notebook/dairy and keep the book safe
- Instances where the seed key can be downloaded, it is necessary to save it on a flash drive
To back up your seed key, first, select Settings from the bottom right corner of the home page
At the settings menu, select Wallets from the list.
Once the menu of the wallet appears, click on the three vertical dots right beside the wallet whose seed key you wish to back up
Finally, select Show Recovery Phrase to display the seed key for your wallet
How do I re-import the existing Multichain wallet in a fresh installation?
In order to re-import an existing multichain wallet in a fresh installation, select I already have a wallet* from the first interface you see
Choose Multi-Coin Wallet as shown in the image below
The next menu would require you to import the 12-word seed key of your existing multichain wallet then click on Import to the wallet.
How do I add/import a new coin in a Multichain wallet using the private key of the coin?
To import a new coin(TRX), first, select Settings from the bottom right corner of the home page
At the settings menu, select Wallets from the list.
From the menu of the wallet, click on the add button as indicated below
Select I already have a wallet from the first interface you see
Scroll through the list of coins at the import menu and select TRX
How do I import a Multichain wallet( Exodus wallet) using the seed key?
To import a Multichain wallet of a different service using the seed key, select Multi-Coin Wallet at the Import menu
The next menu would require you to import the 12-word seed key of your Exodus wallet then click on Import.
You will receive a popup message indicating that your wallet was successfully loaded.
Once you click on Done, you will be directed to your Exodus multichain wallet
Thanks for your attention @sapwood
Thank you for attending the lecture in Steemit-Crypto-Academy & doing the homework task-4.
Excellent, you have clearly demonstrated your own experience with a Multichain wallet(with relevant screenshots), in line with the task requirement.
I appreciate it. I hope you have developed a better relationship with a Blockchain wallet at the end of week-4.
I am happy to learn that you have counted and also provided screenshots of the same. That means you have really experienced it.
Thank you.
Homework Task -4 successfully accomplished.
