I am very excited to be a part of this class taught by professor @sapwood. I would like to present my work on question 2 to the task given.

The question reads; 2) Please indicate your Steem integrated TronLink wallet in Steemitwallet.com? How important is the password that you set locally in a fresh installation? Which form of the private key needs the password too to unlock the crypto asset? When we create steemit accounts, we are given automatically generated tron accounts because aside being rewarded with sbd and steem on steemit platform, we are rewarded with trx as well.

If you already have the private key/public key of your Steem integrated Tron Link wallet, demonstrate how do you restore this wallet in a fresh installation or device?

To restore the steem integrated tronlink wallet in a fresh installation with the private key/ public key,

• Visit tronlink or search for tronlink on google and click on the first result.

• You can download for android, ios or harmony os but because I am installing with my pc, I will select on browser extension and click on chrome web store.

• From the new page, click on add to chrome.

• Click on add extension and wait for wallet to download and get added.

• From the extension, click on tronlink to launch.

• Set and repeat new password. Click on continue.

• Click on restore.

• Set new account name and click on continue.

• The next step is to click on the key you want to use for the restoration. Since it's a requirement from the task to use the private key of the integrated steem account, click on private key.

• Retrieve private key, enter it and click on continue.

• Account is restored.

How important is the password that you set locally in a fresh installation? Which form of the private key needs the password too to unlock the crypto asset?

The password set in a fresh installation is used to unlock the wallet when you're trying to log into tronlink wallet. It is used with the keystore to restore accounts.

The password is also used with the keystore private key to unlock crypto assets. With the keystore private key, before you can confirm a transaction, it is necessary you sign the transaction with your password and so it is very important you remember the password set because without it you cannot perform transactions with tronlink.

I am much excited to have taken part in this class because I have learnt new things.

Tronlink is the wallet used by users to explore the tron blockchain. It supports mobile devices with operating systems, android, ios, harmony and computers with browser extensions.

It makes use of 3 important form of keys which are the private key itself, keystore and mnemonic phrase. You can create a new wallet with one of these or restore an already existing wallet should you have one of the keys.

However,, the keystore private key is used with a password that a user sets to unlock crypto assets if that is the form of key a user opted for when setting up the wallet.

It is important to write down the keys on papers or store them offline to prevent them from being compromised. You can also store them online but it is safer you store them offline.
