Introduction

Hello everyone, I welcome you all to the ending of the season task. where I hope we all still stay in touch and appraise for the coming season. I as well welcome you to this week course where I will be taking the homework post by professor @reminiscence01 which the course Task is [understanding tokens] on this post I will be explaining the following topic listed as follows ;

1)What do you understand by Token and give an example of at least 5 tokens and identify the blockchain it is built on. ( give at least 3 different Blockchains)

2)What is the difference between a token and a coin?

3)Explain the different categories of tokens listed below and explain their features.

Utility tokens
Security tokens
Equity tokens
Non-fungible token (NFT)

4)Make your own research and write extensively on any token you listed in question one. (Must include features of the token, the aim of the project, Use cases).

Question 1

What do you understand by Token and give an example of at least 5 tokens and identify the blockchain it is built on. ( give at least 3 different Blockchains)

Tokens are cryptocurrency resources i.e(digital resources) that are built on a previously existing blockchain and exhibit all the features of the fundamental blockchain its been created on, in other to be able to trade with another blockchain on the platform..

Token can be created by individuals in way of utilizing any of the Defi(Decentralized Finance ) platforms such as the Etherum network or binance blockchain . Tokens created are being issued out publically through the ICO(Initial coin offering)...

Examples of tokens built on 3 different blockchains is listed below in the table form:

Question 2

What is the difference between a token and a coin?

On this particular task, I will be explaining the difference between Token and Coin in tabular format...

TOKEN	COIN
Tokens are built on another blockchain network such as SHIBA INU built on ethereum network	Coins are built on there own indigenous network such as ether built on ethereum network
Tokens can be made and dispatched by nearly anybody, as they require minimal specialized information and abilities	Coins are hardly created by any one as it require maximum skill and ability of some programming techniques
Token has the ability to multiple utilization in as long as you are utilizing within application its been built.. tokens used to perform fee transaction and as well as holding, but not as significant as coins	Coins are limited utilization as they are purely built for processing payment

3)Explain the different categories of tokens listed below and explain their features.

Utility tokens
Security tokens
Equity tokens
Non-fungible token (NFT)

Utility tokens:

Utility tokens are the special type of tokens created by the individual for the purpose of financing a project or capitalizing on a token. New users create utility tokens in other to get their project up to the task(some sort of promotion task).

Having utility token allow users to also be able to carry out task like others in the blockchain network, and this token is being issued publically through ICO.

Security tokens:

Security tokens are being referred to as traditional assets like some shares of investment with a company. Just that in this case security token are more of traditional stock and cryptocurrency, as it serves as a medium between the two aspects of investment(digital and traditional).

Security tokens are more efficient with cryptocurrency due to their fast transaction eligibility and they are more secure on the blockchain platform.

Security tokens also allow users to get their company shares just like normal investments where company investors get ahold of the profits just that in this case the profit is been awarded on the blockchain network.

Equity tokens:

Equity tokens are tokens created by individuals in a sense of having a share of cryptocurrency investment with the company unlike security tokens, equity tokens are fully based cryptocurrency investments where users get to earn shares of their investment with the invested company and are been treated with the same right to participate in their invested project.

Non-fungible token (NFT)

non-fungible tokens are special types of tokens created on the blockchain network specifically for a unit..the term non-fungible token just as it's named are those tokens that can not be exchanged or replaced with another token, unlike the previous explanation.

NFT is more of an asset guarantor that serves as a title such as (photos, videos, or even a tweet)just that it's in a digital format, and they are mostly based on the ethereum network

Security	They are combined of cryptocurrency and traditional investment also know as digital tradinonal stock
Equity	they are cryptocurrency investement token

4)Make your own research and write extensively on any token you listed in question one. (Must include features of the token, the aim of the project, Use cases).

The token I will be making research on will be the SHIBA INU token which was built on the Ethereum network.

Shiba Inu token: also known as Shibu token is a project in the decentralized community which was built on the ethereum blockchain as of August 2020 by an anonymous known as Ryoshi..Shiba Inu is a Japanese term meaning breed of dog, which has its logo meme same am doge.

Shiba Inu gain its popularity after vitalik buterin(Ethereum co-founder) made a donation of 50 trillion SHIB (for Indian covid relief fund )which was worth $1 billion dollars as of 13th of May 2021 causing investors to invest more in the project with people thinking vitalik buterin was also an investor in the project whereas he is not.

The founder of Shiba locked 50% of the supply in liquidity and the remaining percentage to the co-founder of ethereum(vitalik buterin)

FEATURES OF SHIBA INU TOKEN

Creating Exchange platform: The group behind the Shiba tokens has created an exchange platform known as ShibaSwap, which permits their investors to "burrow" (give liquidity), "cover" (stake coins), "bring" (recover tokens from Uniswap or SushiSwap) and trade coins. This trade is like others on the Ethereum organization, as SushiSwap and Uniswap.

Competition with Dogecoin: Another part that makes Shiba interesting is the competition the token has with dogecoin just as been launch the founder declares the token to be "DOGECOIN KILLER" which gives a heavy race between the two token and its popularity association with ethereum made the token more expose as investors are looking forward on shifting there invest from doge to Shiba Inu...

Aim of Shiba Inu:

The aim of shiba inu token is to allow user to hold a lot of the token in value in other to get user on a large profit by the time they get the project into a virtual eco system

shiba inu intend to help there holders discover the instruments they need to rejuvenate their motivation and exceptional points of view. This is simply one more approach to urge others to venture within limits and gain real experience of decentralized development.

Conclusion

Crypto academy has always been life perspective building as it expose user more to the crypto world and giving fundamental understanding ..this topic have proved of a great needs to new users or any one who plan on investing in cryptocurrency as it sheds light to difference between token and coin as to know which to invest on or which to trade with ..i must say it been interesting so far and all thanks to professor @reminiscence01 for giving a great lecture on this particular task.
