What Is Polio? A Harmful Disease
Assalamualaikum!
Polio is a viral disease which affects the children under fifteen years. It causes lifelong disability. Which is the most dangerous thing in a human life. This is a non cureable disease. Yes there is no treatment for the infected child.

This virus spread out from infected child to other children. This virus spread out from the Faeces of a infected child. House flies, mosquito, dirty water, are the major carriers to spread this out.
This virus has three types
Type 1 , type 2, type 3
Current situation:
The whole world is polio free now except Pakistan and Afghanistan. There was many active polio cases in 2020 in both countries.
Now in 2021 five cases of polio have been reported.
WHO (World Health Organization) is taking major part to have a polio free world.
WHO started END POLIO CHAMPAIGN in both countries.
WHO supplies polio vaccine to create immunity in children. This Vaccine makes immunity to fight with polio virus. Vaccine dose 2 drops per children in every Champaign. This viles contains 40 drops means vaccine of 20 children.
Vaccine manufactured on the demand of WHO. 3 types of vaccine are being manufactured by different companies. Monovolent Oral Polio Vaccine mOPV, biovolent Oral Polio Vaccine bOPV and TriVolente Oral Polio Vaccine. The speciality of vaccine is that its cold chain should remain +2°c to +8°c from the manufacturer company to the mouth of child. When it goes higher that +8°c it becomes harmfull.

In Pakistan END POLIO CHAMPAIGN in 2021 started as per WHO schedule.
END POLIO CHAMPAIGN means
First Champaign started from 21 Jan to 26 Jan (5 days Champaign) in Punjab Pakistan. In which Champaign health workers done a good job and vaccinated all the children under 5 years.
Now the second champaign is going to start on 29 March 2021 to 2 April 2021.
All the health department is ready to make this Champaign successful.
May Allah make our country Pakistan safe from Polio virus.
