Steemit CryptoAcademy week 15 homework post for @alphafx scalability in blockchain
Hello good day steemians. Today brings us another episode in the crypto Academy community. I would like to acknowledge @alphafx for such a wonderful lecture scalability in blockchain
Without wasting enough time, I would present my homework systematically based on the questions from the professor.
1. Make a transaction on the Binance smart Chain and Tron blockchain (you can use any token)
Transaction on the smartchain
Step 1
- open your trustwallet and go to smart chain
Step 2
- click send
step 3
- type the adress and amount of BNB to be sent
step 4
- confirm transaction
Transaction on Tron blockchain TRX
step 1
- open the TronLink Wallet and click TRX as showed below
step 2
- click send at the down left button.
step 3
- add the receiving address and add the amount to be transferred in the balance.
step 4
- confirm transaction
2. Show the time taken for each transaction to be verified (original screenshots must be included)
The smart chain transaction
For the smart chain transaction
The time send is indicated 07:07:56
The time recieved on my binance is 07:09:05
hence the time difference for the transaction is 1 min 9 secs.
The Tron blockchain transaction
- The time from the TronLink Wallet is 07:15:30
- The time at the end of the transaction 07:16:45
The difference in transactions is 1min 15secs
both transactions are faster, probably due to the small transaction. However, the smart chain transaction is slightly faster than the tron blockchain
3. Compare the scalability and speed of the two against BTC
Comparing the transactions of BNB on the smart chain network and the TRX on the Tron blockchain network to that of BTC, we realise the transactions on the smartchain and tron blockchain is relatively faster than the BTC transactions. From the transactions above, we realise that Binance smart Chain and Tron blockchain use few minutes or secs to complete transactions. Which is faster than the several minutes used by BTC.
Comparing the scalability of The binance smart chain and tron blockchain to BTC, we realise that Binance smart Chain and Tron blockchain have relatively high scalability. The number of transactions completed by the Tron blockchain and binance smart chain is higher than that of BTC's 5TPS.
The higher the scalability of the network, the faster the transaction. Hence the tron blockchain and the binance smart chain transactions would be faster than that of BTC.
4. What do you think can be done to improve the scalability of these three (BTC, Tron, Binance Smart Chain)
lighting network lighting network basically allows confirming transactions without necessarily recording them in the main ledger. Sending and receiving money without interupting the network is was faster and easier.
With the lighting network, transactions could be than between two people very easily. This can literally improve the scalability of BTC,tron and binance smart chain. Lighting network could even reduce the transaction fees and boost scalability as well.Bitcoin cash; the Bitcoin cash has increased the capacity of a block thereby increasing the scalability of the Bitcoin. The Bitcoin cash could improve the scalability of BTC.
plasma cash the plasma cash enhance the processing of data without overloading the main network.

Conclusion
The transactions on the Tron blockchain and the binance smart chain are very fast which proves they have a better scalability than that of BTC. I think the transactions on the tron blockchain and the binance smart chain are very attractive looking at thier scalability. Most people would like to use the tron and binance smart chain for transactions because of thier scalability and thier low fees as well.
Well done, the comparison and solutions were valid but brief, neededmore details.
Task was satisfactorily completed nevertheless
Thanks for participating
Thanks for the feedback, for the solutions, that why i added the link for more details.
Well appreciated remarks
