This week’s task by professor @imagen is an exciting topic that gives me the opportunity to write about a blockchain project I would like to create in the future. For now, it is merely a dream but I look forward to making this dream come true. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to VIGOR (VGR).

This project does not exist anywhere. I made it up and I checked Coingecko, Coinmarketcap, Blockfolio, and Google and I could not find it anywhere.

Background

We tend to forget how easy it is to become unhealthy. We work so hard and yet don't get enough rest. We eat food that have high levels of fats and sugar because it taste good in our mouth.

Yet we fail to do some exercises to burn those excess fats and sugar because our brain tells us that it’s tiring. Humans are hardwired in such a way that we are often motivated to do something only when we get quick results.

The Problem

Unfortunately, several activities that are good for our health do not give us immediate result. It takes time to see the effects of having good night rests.

It takes time to fully enjoy the benefits of doing early morning and late evening meditations. It takes time to get the rewards of having a good workout routine. Thus, we simply are not motivated to do these things.

And now, the world is filled with people who suffer from stress, lack of exercises, and sleep deprivation. Even worse, scientific studies have linked stress, lack of exercises, poor nutrition, and sleep deprivation as contributing factors to numerous health problems, such as; obesity, infertility, heart diseases, hypertension, diabetes, respiratory disorders, and even certain types of cancer.

What if I told you we could change that? No, I’m not talking about a cure for all diseases. I certainly do not have the power to do that. To be fair, no one does. What I’m saying is that we can prevent people from having these problems. Now you’re probably wondering how I intend to do this. Let me explain.

How will VIGOR solve this problem?

To successfully solve any problem, you need to treat the cause of the problem and not the symptom. Treating the symptom is like sitting on a nail and taking pain relievers to make the pain go away. Not until you take the nail out, the pain will not stop.

With that in mind, one of the major causes of most health problems is living an unhealthy lifestyle. And the reason why most people live an unhealthy life is because they lack the motivation to engage in fitness activities. So, the root cause of most health problems is the lack of motivation to prevent it.

What if people get rewarded with digital tokens for participating in healthy activities? In other words, people get paid to stay healthy. Won't that be amazing? By staying healthy, we become less prone to diseases associated with unhealthy lifestyle. This is where VIGOR comes to the rescue!

What is VIGOR?

VIGOR (VGR) is a blockchain project that rewards users with tokens for engaging in fitness activities like exercises, meditation, and good sleep routine. This project will be built on Polkadot blockchain.

Polkadot is the ideal blockchain for this project because of its ability to work between different blockchains and diverse systems. Its interoperability will be a very useful feature later on. Keep on reading to find out!

Now you might have a question lingering on your mind; how will users be rewarded? That is a good question because the success of this project relies on appropriate distribution of VIGOR tokens.

How will users earn VIGOR?

My team and I will create a fitness application that automatically tracks the activity of users. The VIGOR App will track;

• Number of steps taken in a day and distance covered
• Time spent sleeping at night and the quality of sleep
• Duration of early morning and late evening meditation

The fitness application will be installed on smart watches and other wearables with fitness tracking ability. This App will integrate multiple sensors to calculate number steps taken, distance covered, and duration of sleep. Users will get rewarded accordingly.

Airdrop Campaign

January 01, 2022: Airdrop compaign of 5,000,000 tokens of VGR will commence. First 20,000 people to download VIGOR App will be eligible for 250 VGR as airdrop. This will serve as a form of promotion for the token. However, airdrop will be distributed April 01, 2022. This will prevent users from selling the token before launch and listing dates.

Launching of Project

February 01, 2022: 100,000,000 units of VIGOR will be launched on Polkadot blockchain. At launch, 1 VGR will be equal to 0.006 DOT. After the launch, my team and I will put in place mechanisms to prevent inflation.

Listing on Exchanges

During the first stages of listing, our team will avoid listing on giant exchanges to prevent inflation. The listing schedule will be as follows:

Stage 1:

• April 01, 2022: VIGOR will be listed on SushiSwap. Slipperage will be set at 10%. This will be shared among HODLers.
• April 05, 2022: VIGOR will be listed on UniSwap and PancakeSwap. Upon listing, slipperage will be reduced to 5% on all swaps.
• April 10, 2022: Enlist VIGOR on Coinmarketcap, Coingecko, and Blockfolio.

Stage 2:
May 2022: Proceed to list VIGOR on;

• Huobi Global
• Gate.io
• Kraken

Stage 3:
June 2022: VIGOR will be listed on;

• Poloniex
• Binance
• Coinbase

Tokens and Airdrop Distribution

April 01, 2022: Users can now earn VGR by using the VIGOR App.

April 01, 2022: All eligible users will receive airdrop automatically in their wallets. Airdrop will be distributed in stages.

Total Suppy	1,500,000,000 VGR
Maximum Supply	5,000,000,000 VGR

5% of total supply will be set aside for promotional purposes. 30% of total supply will be reserved for founding team members to cover the cost of further development and maintenance. 0.1% of circulating tokens will be burnt quarterly to prevent deflation.

However, new tokens will be produced biannually to prevent inflation.

Partnerships

October to December 2022: Our technical team and developers will work very hard to partner with Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, and other companies that produce wearables with fitness trackers.

November 01, 2022: Announcements of partnerships with Amazfit will be made. This will prove our commitment to the project.
