One of the best things about being a steem user is being able to have the freedom of curate and curate contents on the steem blockchain. However, making the most of the time spent can be a great idea and that is where age of content and creation time comes into play. This is a subject not many people fully understand how it works on the steem blockchain, the age of post and time of voting play a major role in how much creation rewards a user earns from curating contents.

**What happens if a user votes on a post before 5 minutes of post age?
Voting on a post less than five minutes of the post age means that your creation reward will be reduced in relation to your steam power and voting power and the time of voting.

This means that the lower time from 4 minutes to 0 minutes the lower the creation rewards. Voting on a post on 0 minutes gives away all your creation reward and returned to the reward pool meaning you earn no creation reward from the post.

**What happens if a user votes on a post after 6 days 12 hours age of post?
Voting on a post that is 6 days 12 hours old, means that your vote value will be reduced and your curation reward will be reduced as well as a post gets closer to the payout your vote value on that post reduces as well as curation reward on the post.

How do I check how much reward of a post has returned to the reward pool in steem blockchain?

Checking on how much reward of a post has returned to the reward pool is it straight forward and easy with an amazing tool called steemworld.

Number 1 to check and visit https://steemworld.org/@alauddinpabel

Number 2 click on 'posts' tab

Number 3 select active to see a list of your active post

Number 4 choose the post you want to evaluate.

Number 5 click on "summary'' tab
Number 6 you can see that the payout return is 0.00$ and 0.00%

Under what circumstances can a curator can earn more than 100% upvote value as curation rewards?

Getting a beta reward on a post it will depend on the post revolt and also the authors timing for making a upvotes. A make a post and when the reverse auction time elapses I was able to be the first to cast my up-vote using the voting power of $1 by the end of the payout if the post attracted lots of up-votes I will get 100% reward from the post for being the first of up-voter.

Above is a post up-voted me which was published by @sapwood, It was up-voted 3 days 11 hours 57 minutes ago from the time of publication I made a 100% about with the voting weight of 100% with the reward of $0.002 which is equivalent to 35.02%.

What is the role of curation in better content discovery in steem blockchain?

In steem blockchain a lot of people write different content every time with different quality, of so content discover talks about locating post with good and quality content then upon the agreement of the community about the post. The more the post is been curated the more It tend to move to the top of the trending list. So the role of curation is that it help to move good and quality content to the top of the trading list and allow more user to read about the post and benefit for the good content.
