Yes, I think you're right: especially in art, in addition to talent, a portion of luck and chance is also necessary to be really successful...
Whether your second contribution to the same contest will be accepted will certainly be decided by the organizer ;-)) I'm not sure about rule no. 7, but I wish you luck ;-)))
