At that moment of inadvertently listening to their gossip i chose to walk away advertently, refusing to listen anymore.
You did the right thing. I sometimes can't understand those people who have the heart to ask or inquire about who is gossiping behind their backs. I really don't have the heart to listen. Only once, I think I overheard someone talking in a not very nice manner about me. Or, as you say, little things hurt the most.
And I just moved away from the situation.
The hypocrisy though! That's an art and I have yet to master it!
You don't have to dear. You are lovely the way you are.
Those who inquire haven't tasted what peace of mind and heart feel like, otherwise they will cut off everything harming their vibes.
I wish people master in fine arts instead of art in gossiping and hypocrisy. If they do so this world would be a heaven. But unfortunately, it's not.
We have to bear their stupidity advertently😑
